Rook lay on the table, half asleep, resting peacefully. Being a cat had it's upsides, especially when it came to sleeping. He could finally take naps wherever and whenever he wanted to without anyone complaining.
His ear twitched lightly as he heard heavy footsteps.
"That god damn cat.. Can't leave you alone for ten minutes, can we? Are you even awake?" Rook smirked inwardly. He was not going to let him know he could hear him. "Do you really need to have that much fur? Is it really necessary? Fucking christ…" He stood there for a little while. "You are kinda cute tho." Well duh. He felt the other kiss his nose gently, then pet him carefully, as if not to wake him up. "Kinda adorable."
"I am aware." He heard a loud thud and opened his eyes to see that the interruptor had fallen backwards. "I TOUGHT YOU WERE SLEEPING?" Rook got up and jumped off the table. "I almost was, but you woke me up." He rubbed himself against the leg of the oher, purring mischeviously. He had never tought being a cat could be this fun.

"I don't get why you're complaining, you're covered in fur."
"Because my fur does not keep me warm all the time." Why was that so hard to understand? He stopped and shaked each of his hind legs a little.
"Why does it have to snow so much? It is cold and wet and does not do any good at all." He heard a zipper being unzipped and felt himself being lifted up. He meowed confused as he was held close to the others chest.
"Hold still so I don't zip your fur." It was way more comfortable and way warmer inside the coat. He purred happily and relaxed, hoping noone would think he was perverted for relaxing against their chest.

Rook papped his hand, toymouse in mouth, hoping he'd get a better reaction from him than from the others. "Rook, go away, I'm busy."

He put the mouse down and rubbed his head against his friends hand. "Everyone is busy." He muttered. The other freed his hand from the device at hand and pet Rook a little.

"I'll play with you later, okay? I need to finish this first."

"Mhmm.." The other pet him and kissed his nose, trying to cheer him up. He could tell Rook was feeling down and wanted company. Rook gave a little purr and patiently waited, watching with interest.

"Catch!" He threw the marshmellow onto the other side of the bed, looking at Rook as he clumsily ran across it, nearly tripping on the blanket. When he finally reached it he licked it a few times and took it with him back to the head of the bed, where he settled down and played with it. "You're not supposed to play with it, you're supposed to eat it you furball." Rook ignored him and kept playing. The other got up and got a few small stuffed toys. He took one and lay on top of Rook and watched as the fluffball attacked it, rolling around biting it and kicking it. The other introduced him to another toy, only to recieve a loud hiss and a, now, incredibly fluffy kitten who looked terrified. "What? You don't like snakes?" The question was answered with loud growling. "Ooohkaay then." He put away the stuffed toysnake and Rook stopped growling. The boy pet Rook carefully, trying to calm him, along with his fur, down, and when he deemed it safe, kissed his nose. Rook lay down after finally calming down and went back to playing with the stuffed toy and the marshmellow as the other returned to the laptop on the nightstand.
