This was a suggestion from my friend, Julia, and her older brother, Pedro. As they are the ones who introduced me to Fairy Tail, I wanted to do a couple of versions of this story, including a happy version and a romantic version. But first, I am going to do their version, the way that they told me the story. This isn't word for word and it has slight variations from the original telling but the general idea is the same. So now, I bring you, The End of Fairy Tail.

Natsu was trembling. It was a rare occasion for him to be scared, but he was about to do something that was extremely difficult. He knew his friends would try to stop him but it was the only way for him to destroy both Zeref and Acnologia at the same time.

He turned back to his faithful team, Team Natsu. He couldn't just leave them without a good bye. They had no idea what he was going to do but they had come with him anyways. He cared about each of them in a different way, yes, he even cared for Gray.

Erza was in tears, he assumed that she had known for some time what was going to happen but had wished just as he had, that there would be another way. There just wasn't. There was no other way to end this. He had to sacrifice himself to save his team, his family, and his love. His Lucy.

He had realized that he had fallen in love with her when Phantom Lord had taken her. He felt like someone had ripped a part of his heart out and he would do anything to get it back. When he did, he vowed that he would do anything to protect her, even if he had to die. He would willingly die, over and over again if it ment that his Luce would live.

He said his heartfelt good bye to Wendy and Charlie, both of who were crying now. He then hugged Erza who was sobbing. After that, he held a tearful Happy for a few moments before muttering a good bye and giving him his famous grin. Then he moved on to Gray where he shook his hand. He then leaned into him and whispered," Promise me you will take care of Lucy and my baby."

Gray looked at him, shocked, before looking at Lucy, and noticed the slight bulge to her stomach. Gray turned back to Natsu, with an all new respect for him. "I promise."

Natsu nodded, satisfied, before turning to Lucy. She ran as fast as she could and launched into his arms.

Natsu caught her and smashed his lips to hers, holding her as tightly as possible before breaking away. He then kissed her slowly, with just as much passion before he just held her close with his forehead pressed against hers.

"I love you, Luce." He said to her.

"I love you too, Natsu." She replied before letting him go. He smiled sadly and began to walk away to where Zeref and Acnologia were. When he disappeared from view, Lucy fell to the ground, sobbing and inconsolable. They all were crying , even Gray was. They all sat there crying before there was an earth shattering explosion that blew them all backwards.

Natsu had released all of his magic power in one final blast which was enough to rid the world of the dragon and Zeref. But it had also been enough to rid the world of the mighty dragon slayer.

Years later, when Lucy and Natsu's daughter, Nashi, was old enough to understand, she was told of how her father had saved the world. Lucy never married but raised her daughter with with the help of the guild. The Team remained together and also stayed as Team Natsu in honour of their nakama.

Natsu was awarded one of the two vacant seats as one of the Ten Saint Wizards and was considered a national hero.
