I'm only writing in first person because I find it more confront able. This
is not a self insertion fic, if I wanted to do one of those I would
probably make myself a Mary-Sue.

Hi, my name is Kathryn, my friends call me Kate, Katie or some bad names when i annoy them. That happens a lot. I'm a college student in second year and am studying history. I'm fascinated by vikings and pirates and have been since I was young.
But I never expected this to happen. Not once. Even if I hoped and hoped when I was younger, it never happened. And now when it has happened it is nothing like I had hoped.
Maybe I should start at the beginning.
It all started on a crappy day in November.....

My day started with a blast, I was late for school and couldn't't find my socks. But my roommate and best friend, Maria. had been up all night and baked cookies, I crabbed three and ran out. She has a tendasy to make awful cookies when they are bad but piece of heaven when good. They turned out to be about as crappy as my day.
It was cold outside and I forgot my hat when I ran outside and slipped on ice outside the school, and ripped my favorite jeans. Great, just bloody great.
And if that was not enough, my body decided that I needed more sleep and I fell asleep in the middle of class with Miss. Bromundary. She is a living proof that dinosaurs lived on earth and teaches about them as well.
Unfortunately she was in a foul mood, as always, and gave me a 10.000 page report to do about the cannibals. I was close to writing about her.
But of course I said the cursed lines "At least it can't get worse". Everything went well until I got home. Then I realised that I had forgotten my keys, and of course Maria had gone to another state to visit her penpal.
And to make matters worse the cookie I had this morning where starting to make me feel a little sick. Suddenly I started to see spots dancing before my vision and feeling dizzy. Then I probably fainted becouse the next thing I saw was black.
