His… child.

His daughter…

His stubborn to a fault, obnoxious and pathetically weak child.

His beautiful, light haired daughter of the night.

He loathed her and adored her. But that was just his way. He wished for the day he could tear her throat out and bathe in her blood. And at the same time he fought to protect that same blood that flowed through her veins.

It wasn't love. Oh no. A being such as him could…would never love. Love was a mockery of the flesh of the living. And he was neither of those. Hate was just the same. Another powerful emotion, another feeling that those living felt and succumbed too.

He was intrigued with her. She, just the same as him, his wanton and stupid little servant who strove each day to be just as she had been before his blessing. Refusing the darkness that called to her. Refusing the power he offered her. Refusing all that to remain weak and pathetic and under his control.

He wanted to kill her. The still sweet perfume of her innocent blood called to him each night. He wanted to rip into her to shred her innocence and greet her to the darkness.

But he refused himself. And he snorted in the irony of it, if he destroyed her light she would loose her interest in his eyes. So he watched. Often amused and often frustrated as the daughter he created refused all that she was, all that he wanted her to become just so she could remain by his side.

His beautiful, stubborn, stupid, intriguing daughter would have her wish. He would keep her by his side forever, and she would learn to fear him.

Her ….father.

Her Master…

Her unforgiving, abusive and cryptic father.

Her maniacal, fearsome and pigheaded Master.

She loved him. She had loved him since the very first day. The only man to ever really look at her with lust in his eyes. Granted it had been for her blood, but it was lust just the same.

She wanted to hate him. To despise him like so many around her: he was evil. Truly and powerfully evil, but she loved him. She wanted to take the gift he had now habitually continued to ask her. But she couldn't.

She wasn't ready. She wasn't ready to be free of him. Besides, he didn't like other's prowling his lands and this was her home now, so where else could she go? She didn't know many other Vampires, or well, Natural Vampires in any case.

So it merely came down to she loved him. She loved the mystery of him, the history that one could see for only the briefest moments when his guard was down. She was captivated with his mystery and wonder and fetish for the strange and rather bloody.

So she choose to stay with him. To be by his side for how ever long he would keep her. She knew the day would come when he would either destroy her or force her to take his gift, but until that day she would stay right where she was, by his side.

Her fearsome, odd, mysterious and handsome Master, how the fates had been cruel to force her heart to love such a creature as him.
