"Lucy"

A songfic to the song "Lucy" by Skillet, but some of the lyrics are switched about just a bit. I typed all the lyrics in Italics.

Master/Lucy

The Master has been saved by the Doctor. But now that he's sane again, he misses the one thing he never knew he had.

He had put a gravestone up for her.

But now, before he actually visited her for the first time, he was going to write a letter and leave it for her.

He had gotten a notebook from the Doctor and a pen from the library, and he was off to her grave site.

Once he got there, he got on his knees next to the stone and started writing.

"Hey Lucy, I remember your name.

I left a dozen roses om your grave today.

I'm on my knees, I wiped the leaves away.

I just came to talk for awhile, I got some things I need to say."

He stopped writing and sighed, his frosted breath coming out of his mouth visibly. He sat there for he didn't even know how long, just frozen in time and memories. He almost jumped out of his skin when Doctor laid a hand on his shoulder.

"You've been out here for a while," he commented. He sat down beside him.

After a long time, Master spoke.

"Now that its over, I just want to hold her. I'd give up all the world to see that little piece of Heaven looking back at me. I've got to live with the choices I've made, but I can't live with myself today."

With that, the Doctor and Master proceeded back to the TARDIS. He didn't finish his letter, but left it there anyway.

Master didn't return until that one day he dreaded the most came.

He walked to the grave in the Summer heat.

"Hey Lucy, I remembered your birthday. They said it's bring some closure to ay your name. I know I'd do it all different if I had the chance, but all I have are these roses, and they can't help me make amends."

That night he dreamed, dreamed of a time once had, now lost.

When he awoke, he wrote his dream and his feelings down in the notebook, this time set on leaving her a finished letter.

"Here we are, now you're in my arms.

I never wanted anything so bad.

Here we are, for a brand new start.

Living the life we that we could've had.

Me and you, Lucy, walking hand in hand.

Me and you, Lucy, never want to end.

Just another moment in your eyes.

I'll see you in another life,

In Heaven,

Where we never say goodbye."

He placed the letter on the stone and weighed it down with a small rock.

He stood and looked down at the stone entitle, "Lucy Saxon".

He came to a conclusion that it wasn't quite right.

He went to the TARDIS, parked about 100 yards away, and asked for the Doctor's sonic screwdriver, and, now trusting him, he gave it to him.

Master went back to the grave and used the device to engrave a messy message on the gravestone.

It now said,

Lucy Saxon

Forever Loved

He stood over it once more, and whispered,

"Hey Lucy, I'll always remember your name."
