Doctor Honey
It was 8:30 on a Saturday morning and Honey was on his way to his cousin Mori's house. Mori was sick and Honey wanted to take care of his sick cousin. He was walking to his house with his Usa-chan and a gym bag.
Honey wanted to keep Mori Company while his parents are at work and while his little brother, Satoshi, was keeping an eye on Honey's little brother Chika. Mori wanted his parents to go to work, but his parents call and check on him to make sure he was okay.
Honey arrived at Mori's house. He knocked on the door. Mori answered while groaning and looked exhausted.
"Hi Takashi can I come in.?" Honey said with a smile and pink flowers around his head. Mori just nodded and opened the door a little more to let him in and Honey stepped inside.
"I wanted to see if you were okay." Honey said to him.
Takashi opened his mouth, but then he covered t with his hand. He put the other arm around his stomach and ran to the bathroom. Honey could hear him throwing up. Honey felt really bad that just a hug can't make his cousin all better.
Mori came out of the bathroom looking really tired. Honey ran to him.
"Takashi go to your bed I'll be there soon." Honey said in a serious voice. Mori liked to keep his cousin happy so he went to bed.
Honey opened his gym bag and put on a little lab coat.
Mori was in his bed under the covers waiting for his little cousin to come.
Honey came in with his lab coat on with his gym bag and holding a clip board. "Don't worry Takashi I'll make you all better." Honey said. Mori just groaned in response.
Honey took out a pillow from his gym bag. It was pink with little Usa-chans on it.
"This pillow always made me happy whenever I was sick. Now it will help you."
Mori lifted his head and Honey put the pillow there. He reached into the gym bag again.
"Now its time to take your temperature." Honey took out a real thermometer instead of a toy one. Mori lifted his arm and closed it when Honey put the thermometer there.
It started to beep and Honey read it.
"Takashi your temperature is normal. Like your father said you do have food poisoning."
"Mmm" Mori said as a response.
"Next you get a hug." Honey jumped on the bed and wrapped his arms around his cousin's neck.
Mori smiled and hug his small body back. Honey went back to the bag and took out a thermos.
"I made you some soup Takashi. It's your favorite noodle soup. I made sure I picked out all the chicken just for you." Mori smiled at his cousin. Honey put his Usa-chan next to Mori on his bed. "I'm gonna pour the soup in a bowl. Usa-chan will keep you company while I'm gone." Honey left to the kitchen.
Mori sighed. He felt too old to be playing doctor, but he liked to keep his cousin happy. They used to play it when they were in pre-school but they haven't played it since.
Honey came back with a bowl of soup. "Okay it's all ready. Eat it up." Honey put it on the night stand and crawled on the bed with Mori. Mori sat up and grabbed his soup.
"Thanks for letting me take care of you Takashi." Honey said.
"No Problem." Mori said as he continued to eat his soup.
"I used to do this with my mommy all the time when she got sick." Honey said.
"She was very lucky." Mori said rocking Honey back and forth.
"What did you do for your Mommy?"
"Well she didn't get sick often but I never liked it when she got sick. I brought her favorite tea to her and while she was lying in bed I used to color in my coloring books. But as I got older I read books and I completely took care of her." Mori told his cousin.
"That was nice." Honey said giving Mori a small hug.
Mori started yawning and struggling to keep his eyes open.
"Takashi you're tire. You should take a nap."
"I'm alright." Mori said.
"No Takashi take a nap. It's alright I won't get lonely."
Mori laid back on the pillows and closed his eyes. He was fast asleep. Honey covered him with the blankets, kissed Mori's forehead, and played with his Usa-chan.
