Youthful Excuses
A Naruto FanFic
Kakashi and Gai were on a mission together and were resting for the night; they were on the way back. One was dreaming while the other was lost in his thoughts. But their minds were both caught on the same thing, remembering.
Flashback 1
"Sorry I'm late. A bird died right in front of me and I had to help the parents plan a funeral." Kakashi gave a slight eye-smile.
"Ahh! SO YOUTHFUL!" Gai exclaimed, tears rolling down his cheeks. "Helping the poor bird's parents! YOU ARE FULL OF YOUTH TODAY MY RIVAL! I SHALL RUN ALL THE WAY UP THE HOKAGE MOUNTAIN THEN I WILL JUMP OFF IN AN ATTEMPT TO FLY! YOSH!"
Kakashi just sweat dropped as Gai ran off.
Flashback 2
Kakashi puffed in front of Gai, "Sorry I'm late. I was on my way when I got lost in my bedroom."
"That's not very youthful my rival. You should keep your room clean." Gai nodded sagely.
"Ahh. But my room is…Uhh…booby-trapped." Kakashi muttered.
"NOW THAT'S YOUTHFUL! I SHALL BOOBY-TRAP MY ROOM NOW OR I WON'T BE AS HIP AS YOU!" Gai shouted excitedly.
Kakashi reading his "smut", glanced up, "You say something?"
"Gahhh! You and your hip ways!" Kakashi only sweat dropped.
Flashback 3
"Sorry I'm late. A young lady asked me to dance with her so I did." Kakashi smirked under his mask.
"VERY YOUTHFUL KAKASHI! DANCING TO SHOW JUST HOW YOUTHFUL YOU REALLY ARE! I SHALL FIND MY STUDENT LEE AND SHOW HIM THAT DANCING IS BEAUTY! AND IF I CAN'T I WILL DANCE ON TOP OF THE HOKAGE MOUNTAIN IN MY BIRTHDAY SUIT!" Gai yelled running off.
Kakashi sweat dropped and turned green at the thought of Gai naked.
His brain overloaded with a horrible picture, the only thing Kakashi could do was happily faint.
Flashback 4
"Sorry I'm late. My alarm clock broke so I had to go buy another one." Kakashi chuckled lightly.
Gai blinked, thinking 'He has an alarm clock and he's late?'. "HOW UNYOUTHFUL OF YOU! YOU HAVING AN ALARM CLOCK AND ARIVING LATE!"
Kakashi blinked, "It might have been set wrong?"
Gai smiled, "Then it's a good thing it broke and you bought a new one. IT'S A YOUTHFUL DAY TODAY!"
"Ehhh…you say something?" Kakashi muttered.
"Gahhh! You…you and your hip ways!" Gai said shaking his fist at Kakashi.
Flashback 5
"Sorry I'm late. I got lost on the road of life." Kakashi eye smiled.
Gai shook his fist at Kakashi, "YOU ARE SO YOUTHFUL KAKASHI! WHY CAN"T I BE AS YOUTHFUL AS YOU?!" Waterfall tears fell down Gai's cheeks.
Kakashi looked a little embarrassed to be around Gai right then.
"I WILL DO….Blah, blah, blah, blah…..KAKASHI!" Gai said with stars in his eyes.
Kakashi eyed him, "You say something?"
Gai fainted while muttering, "So hip…."
Flashback Kai
Morning came and they were on their way and were soon at the gate. When they landed in front of the gate, Gai turned to Kakashi, stars in his eyes "You can make some really youthful excuses!" Kakashi's only answer was to faint, but not before saying a sentence to the guard, "Sorry we're late. The client was as bitchy as Kami hates me."
AN: The only excuse that belongs to me is the last one, ya!
