This is the prologue
They called her Warp, everyone did. The young fifteen year old had only used her powers once, and destroyed her home village. Her hair was raven black and to her shoulders, her blue eyes blazed as she ran. "You can't escape us!" came a call. Turning, Warp could see the citizens of the village chasing after her. There were only five survivors, but that would have been enough to defeat her.
"NO!" Warp cried as she came to the end of the fishing peir. She stared into the water, and saw the expression on her own, terrified face. The villagers came out of the mist, holding the torches. Warp knew the only way she could escape them was to jump. Falling backwards into the water, her limbs suddenly stopped working. "Help!" Warp tried to gasp, but water filled her lungs as she was swept away.
The weight of her knapsack holding her down, Warp was dragged into the water. Darkness appeared at the edge of her eyes, and she couldn't even move away from the shark coming straight at her. This is the end, she thought. Though instead of biteing her, the shark gently grabbed her arm and hauled her up to the surface.
Everything was blurry on land. There were muffled shapes and voices all around her, making her confused. She felt something in her head, a sort of tickling, then her vision cleared. A girl with a blue cloak was staring at her, seeming releived. "The meditation worked," she sighed. "You're safe."
Around the gray skinned girl were four others. A boy with spiky black hair and an eye mask, A girl with orange skin, A boy who was half metal, and a green skinned boy. "Teen titans," Warp gasped. She had heard stories from her mother about how they saved this city again and again. However, judging by her headache, nothing could prepare them for what would come next. "Ahhh!" She cried, clutching her head as the ache grew worse.
"What is happening?" The orange girl, Starfire, asked.
"My...Powers...," Warp said weakly. Suddenly, her eyes started to glow white. She let out a scream as a sonic boom echoed around them, then a flash of light whited out everything. The Titans fell to the ground, unconcious. Warp was gone, and so were the old titans.
Warp's powers had reached even Terra, three miles away in highschool. The young blond gasped as she was flung forward. She felt dizzy fro a moment, then she felt a tap on her shoulder. "What?" She asked, turning around. Putting her hand on her mouth was the only thing she could do to stifle a scream. A girl with blond hair over her left eye stood there.
She wore a steel breastplate and something black that looked like a swimsuit bottom. The rest of her body was covered in white, mummy-like cloth. In her hair was two metal hair clips. "Who are you?" Terra whispered.
The girl stopped smirking and look of disbelief replaced contempt. "Who am-," she started, then let out a dry, humorless laugh. "I'm you."
