I'm beginning to feel clichéd saying this, but we're on the run…again. Right after our little rendezvous with Mom, the flyboys showed up…again. We kicked butt…again. We're in hiding somewhere in the middle of nowhere…again.
Did I mention I'm beginning to feel clichéd?
I was on first watch. The cave was nearly impossible to reach without some serious mountain climbing up a sheer rock face, so I mainly focused on the skies. Fang sat next to me at the mouth of the cave, his legs dangling over the side like mine. We watched the stars in silence for a while.
"Did you mean what you said?" I asked quietly. The others were asleep, so I kept my voice down even lower than normal.
"Mean what?' Grr. Him and his two word sentences. He knows it gets on my nerves, which is probably why he does it.
"What you said on the beach. You said that you would never leave me again."
He slid his arm around my waist, and my breath caught in my throat. "Never," he whispered in my ear. Then, he kissed me.
AN: Just a little pointless fluff that points out some of the bigger clichés in the books. It's my first fic, so be nice to me!
