The Child of Weapons
When they got wind they have a girl when Lily was six months pregnant using a medical spell, James Potter named their baby Hope.
While it's a beautiful girl's name, its also overused Lily wanted to be unique, so she looked up words in different languages that meant Hope. She took a shine to 'Nozomi'. Japanese for Hope. So their baby became Nozomi Potter at birth, though they worried about the Prophecy...and the fact their daughter's hair was green when it was black minutes after her birth.
'Erm, its really like that.' said the nervous Healer. 'No charm we used could change her back and she has no potential to be a Metamorphmagus either which is strange. Maybe her magic did it or some harmless anomaly. And further checks, she's really your daughter.'
'Why can't it be red instead?! I'd even take white!' James wailed in dismay. 'Look at it, green! Our poor baby!'
But they learned to live with a green-haired and green-eyed baby at home. Nozomi was a baby easy to make laugh and only cries for biological needs of hunger and diaper change. And all clothes, no matter what color, always turns white when clothing, even shoes touch her skin so they just always buy white.
When they were betrayed and Voldemort came knocking, their baby was indeed, their hope...though they have to wonder where all those swords that impaled Voldemort came from...all they know was,
'Our house...from walls to ceiling, there were these ripples of gold-ish white light, all sparkly and next thing we know, swords and chains made shish-kebab out of him!' James ranted excitedly at the Order who checked the whole house for magic...and little Nozomi was responsible.
But they wanted justice, that James put a bounty on Peter Pettigrew, the man who betrayed them all to death for who-knows-what until court happened, that many aurors had to restrain two of its members and a known Werewolf from mauling a soon-to-be inmate.
And for little Nozomi, she was known as the 'Messiah of Swords' but not even the Ministry can figure out her ability to call on her deadly ability and the conditions for. Try as they could, the ability never came out ever again. Same goes with her unusual peculiarity that any fabric that touches her turns pristine-white she could only wear white clothes...until some fabrics never changed color.
It turns out that the only fabrics she could wear, are clothes dyed with dyes made from natural sources. Anything man-made turns white on her, causing quite a stir. So her clothes and shoes has to be specially-ordered and made.
So Nozomi grew up a normal childhood...on Lily's insistence due to too much attention, living with the other two Marauders for at least, three years until Sirius married to have kids of his own.
Nozomi grew up happy and carefree, doted on by her parents. When she was two, she has a baby brother they named Karma. He was understandably, Heir Potter being male. He has straight, sleek black hair and vivid gray eyes.
But as she grew up...her beauty was such, that they tried another paternity test. She's really theirs. Because WHO in their family trees, was this beautiful and with green hair?
Even St. Mungo's was baffled as the young Messiah possessed such beauty they were sure nobody's daughter in Magical Britain could out-beauty her.
'Maybe you should take it as a blessing as if she grows up one day, she can snag any man she wants.' said the Healer who checked on Nozomi's genetics. 'That's if they survive Auror Potter first.' he said wryly.
As the adults talked, little Nozomi just looked amused. Normally, kids her age would be shaken with good reason if their parents had a paternity test done, when they're old enough to understand their world.
With doubts cleared with good reason on both parents' part, back to normal life they went.
When Nozomi went to school, she had to wear her hair short so she could wear a wig as no charm could change her hair color, even temporarily. At least the wig could stick to her head. For most of her childhood, her hair was in a pixie cut for the wig. Said wig also has a notice-me-not charm as her 'hair' never grows...she had gone to Elementary School in Japan for her safety as let's face it, Lily would say, who'd think they'll live in Japan before Hogwarts happens?
So yes, James Potter had to deal with International Portkeys just to go to work. Nozomi and Karma grew up Bilingual as a result.
Thus when it's Nozomi's turn to go to Hogwarts...
She grew her green hair instantly. Without potions to her family's astonishment.
'Phew...finally, I can have my original hair back.' Nozomi sighed wistfully as her hair floated about her into a style she preferred which was straight and blunt. 'It was...weird having it manly short.'
'Sorry dear but well...your hair color will raise eyebrows among muggles.' said Lily. 'And I wanted you and your brother to have a normal childhood before you enter the world of magic. So far you two know of it by books and how I clean our house...but this year is the real deal for you.' she said. 'Daddy will take you tomorrow while Karma and I will stay home, so nobody knows what he looks like for his safety too.'
'Yes mom.'
And at school...Nozomi caused a ruckus just by existing.
Her looks aside, she turned the carpet leading to the Sorting Hat white, the Sorting Hat itself white when her turn came, making how dirty it was painfully obvious that those who had it on once in their lives blanched in disgust.
'Eek! Why am I white?!' it yelped.
'Oh dear, sorry about that...any fabric dyed by man-made dyes always turns white on skin and hair contact with me.' Nozomi apologized. 'Only fabrics dyed with dyes made from natural products stay as they are. I don't think I can touch anyone without turning their clothes white by accident.'
McGonagall had to turn the hat black when her turn was over.
And when she sat in Gryffindor, her seatmates watched out for her hands lest their clothes turn white on them too.
She wore a mischievous but friendly smile, poising as if to touch her seatmates who squeaked, making her giggle.
Next morning, she was gone, but was in the kitchens teaching the House Elves how to make Japanese Food using what was available and improvised...so when breakfast happened, its like she never left home. Though the others were puzzled but didn't complain as long as its very tasty and a nice change!
Besides, its made naturally.
Another thing was that in Herbology, everything bloomed to full-maturity. Professor Sprout wondered why and never figured it out why it always happens to first years when she wanted to teach the growth stages of plants thus was forced to do lectures and Care Manuals instead...until she figured out that it never happens to other first-year classes, just to a class with Nozomi in it.
And when she observed, all the girl does was step inside, nothing else.
But when DADA happened...
Chaos really broke out.
The chains trapped their DADA Teacher!
'Eek!'
'Potter what do you think you're doing?!' some of her classmates cried.
'M-Ms. Potter?!' Quirrell gasped as he was tied up too tight.
'Cease your futile efforts of acting. It does not fool me at all.' said Nozomi coldly. 'For you have willingly sold your soul to evil, you do not belong in an institution for education.' she stated as a golden ripple appeared and out came a hilt which she took, which looked like an ancient sword. 'Begone, you and your master.'
And she stabbed him, causing Quirrell to shriek in two voices at once that when he died, the horrified students were witness to two souls leaving one body. One passed on, the other shrieked at her.
'You'll pay for this, Nozomi Potter!' he snarled as he left.
'...you'll never win against me. Its merely a fool's venture.' Nozomi shook her head. 'Fool in life, fool in death. Die a fool as you richly deserve. You and your branded cattle alike.' she said, not oblivious to how the Slytherins bristled at her words.
'W-who in blazes is that?!' Neville Longbottom squeaked fearfully, ashen faced.
'Oh, him? Why, it's Voldemort.' she said casually. 'I did destroy him as a baby, I'd know that face anywhere.'
Her classmates shrieked out, 'WHAAAAT?!'
'Well, now that fool is gone, I guess we do Study Period?' Nozomi piped up in a cutesy thinking pose.
It did NOT help their mellow that they were all near a dark lord that owls flew home during 'study period', prompting the Ministry to pay the castle a visit during school hours.
'Professor McGonagall, I'm excusing my daughter!' James cried, barging in class, making a fast beeline for his child, hands on her shoulders. 'Honey, headmaster's office with me, now!' he choked out, ashen faced. 'Are you OK?! Not hurt?'
'Oh, he's worthless daddy.' Nozomi smiled. 'I'm very OK.'
'What are you talking about?' McGonagall asked the pair, baffled at what they were talking about. The class however, gulped.
'Professor! Professor Quirrell was possessed by you-know-who!' Hermione Granger cried. 'She killed him!'
'WHAT?!'

Headmaster's Office...
Albus Dumbledore looked grim.
There's apparently, an incident in DADA with the First Years which was why Cornelius and some Aurors are here.
Children mailed their families home who in turn mailed the Ministry, wanting to know if their children is OK after that. Which was why they're here.
He could not believe it either which was why he took out his Pensieve for when James comes back with his daughter, they could view her memories.
Soon, James came with his smiling daughter.
'Ms. Potter, is it true?' Minister Fudge asked her.
'Oh, its very true.' Nozomi smiled. 'He's around as a weak wraith actually...he'll probably possess another person and that could be anybody who gave themselves to him. Like a whore who opens their legs to another man.' the adults choked hard.
'Where did you learn that language?!' James howled in horrified dismay.
'What, whores do that right? Open their legs to a man who promises them good but fleeting things but in the end the man runs from the bill?' James fainted and somebody had to catch him. Nobody can blame the man.
'Erm, your memories of the event, please?' Fudge sputtered, red-faced as the other men present looked just as red but out of awkwardness and no clue how to deal with the kid. it goes without saying, that they were troubled with her very unchild-like behavior before reviving James.
'I agree with her actually.' Moody griped as he did the job of pulling out her memory of the incident and dropped it in the Pensieve. 'We got a bunch of murderous whores in his bandwagon.'
Bar James, they watched the memory in Nozomi's point of view, her thoughts included.
For the longest time, she sensed a malevolent presence in school. She just could not tell where on her first day but it was in the Hall at the time.
She memorized her peers' presences and that of her other teachers' to cross out potentials...until DADA happened.
Found him and she knows this presence well. She killed him years ago.
She was always sensitive to evil and malevolence, she hated it. She wanted to kill it on the spot who cares what anyone says and thinks as long as it's gone.
But it bothered her that he still exists as a wraith, but no matter. She'll kill him again and again...and acted.
That was what the Headmaster, Minister and Aurors heard in her head before she killed Quirrell...and the rest was as they saw in the classroom incident.
They were deeply shaken.
'Merlin's Beard...how?' Fudge whimpered weakly, shaking in his boots. 'He's not truly dead...and he's in school even!'
'How on earth do we deal with a Wraith?' an Auror wondered. 'At this rate he can't even be really killed!'
'Dementors!' Fudge spat. 'I'll have Dementors roaming the country! I want him gone! Its the only way! They'll eat him for us! To Azkaban now!' he cried hysterically as they left.
'Ms. Potter, I daresay you've done Hogwarts a great favor...though I wish it could have been in better ways.' Dumbledore told Nozomi who sighed. 'Too young and you already took a life.'
'It was a willing job. Only option is death.' she told him blandly. 'Had it been a forced job with an unwilling host, I could have done something else.'
'I see...you may go.' and Nozomi skipped out of his office, prancing her way out cheerfully making him sigh in his laced fingers.
"At least that, is safe..."
Come dinner time, Evening Prophet descended on the Great Hall that everyone else now knows what happened after lunch.
YOU-KNOW-WHO POSSESSES WILLING DEFENSE TEACHER! THE MESSIAH OF SWORDS STRIKES! by: E. Limus
Revelation that he's around as a Wraith, possessing a willing teacher of all people, then gets shanked by the Messiah shook the country as they worry who he'll possess next in a bid to start a new war or something.
Parents has a lot to say based on their child's point of views, as well as the Minister and Aurors who were spooked that she tends to say 'unchild-like things' that her poor father passed out from horror and shock. Then again, what she called the Death Eaters were not child-friendly to be published in papers, while Auror Moody agreed with her opinion of them. The only 'safe thing' that can be published in papers was that she called them 'Branded Cattle'. What she called them in the Headmaster's Office is definitely not child-friendly.
That and no matter how many times, she'll just kill him again and again if he 'comes to play'. So the Minister had all Aurors in Azkaban while the Dementors scour the country for Wraiths, and eat them all just to get him out of all their hairs.
'You're kidding me, we can't afford another war, we just barely recovered!' Fudge sputtered. 'I'm continuing where Bagnold left off of when her tenure ended and even then money's tough lately...so yes, Dementors it is! An upset stomach is a small price to pay for no Second War!'
End result? Why they found his Horcruxes save for the ones in Malfoy's possession and ROR, and him himself. There was much rejoicing when the Dementors reported...and Bellatrix Lestrange wailed the loudest when word reached Azkaban.
Dumbledore had to hire James as DADA Professor just to keep his daughter in line for that year much to Snape's chagrin.

Order Meeting...a week later...
'A lot has happened since that day.' Albus mused as its group gathered to talk about recent events. 'How is your daughter since that day, James?'
'As if what happened never happened.' James deadpanned. 'For years she's our perpetual cheerful daughter with a spotless personality and a good older sister to our son Karma.'
'You named your son Karma?!' McGonagall sputtered. Everyone else gave him a WTH? look. Their daughter already has an unusual name as it is, this just takes the cake!
'Hey its to balance out.' James shrugged. 'Nozomi is Hope in Japanese and too much of a good thing Karma will come biting. Its for luck.' he said. 'Now as I was saying...I never expected she actually remembers that night, much less kill our most hated person and call him worthless without batting an eyelash! I had to get shitfaced drunk to get over it!' he moped, burying his head in his hands.
'And that ability of hers is clearly in her control too.' said Moody. 'Any idea of the full scope Potter?'
'She just smiles and says 'not telling'. Try your luck, will you?' James sighed. 'However, she hinted she has another, but will only use it if its very dire...as in, nobody will survive kind of dire. Hell, I can imagine her firing her swords and chains at groups, I hate to see what this second one is like!'
'...a second one. Really?' Snape griped.
'She's using a weak version so far since it's just one man.'
'I want to see the full scope.' Albus asked James hopefully.
'If you get lucky, she might agree.' said James. 'But right now she's probably playing with her brother downstairs.'
A House Elf appeared.
'Master Auror sir, Missy Hope just invited some Unicorns into school sir. In Great Hall sir.'
'SHE WHAT?!'
'See? It's not so scary, unicorns are very friendly.' Nozomi told her baby brother whom she had one unicorn ride.
This was what they saw when she had her younger brother ride a unicorn.
'H-honey?' Lily squeaked as Nozomi took pictures.
'Mama look! I'm really riding a unicorn!' Karma called out happily.
'A-ahaha...I think I need a drink...' Lily choked out. 'Nozomi, did you go into the forest?'
'Oh, I just whistled so they'd be here.'
'Phew...'
'Well, if she could call out unicorns, market prices would plummet so fast a rock to the floor could compare to it.' said Remus.
'Ah...well, at least being able to be with Unicorns is proof that despite she's willing to take a life, she is still a good person.' said Albus in relief. 'I'm glad to know that.'
