That's What She Said

Cole was en route to the training room when passing by the then closed door of the entertainment center when sounds caught the attention of his finely tuned ears.

"Gosh Lloyd, will you hurry up?"

"I'm trying! Geez Brooke this is harder than it looks."

Quirking a dark eyebrow, the ninja went to open the door but instead chose to just listen.

"It shouldn't be that hard to do!"

"Hey, your the one who talked me into this. You talk me into everything..."

"You know, you can say 'no' right?"

Cole felt a presence behind him and half turned to see Jay there.

"What the heck are you-"

"Shhh!" The ninja of earth smacked his hand across the blue ninjas mouth, "Listen."

"That's beside the point- we can't turn back now."

The look of shock upon the lightning ninjas face was clearly visible. Keeping silent, they both pressed their heads against the door to hear through the wood better.

"Get it up there!"

"Stop shaking it so much!"

"I wouldn't have to if you were being such a whimp!"

"I am not!... ugh I missed-"

"Surprise there..."

"Don't tease me, Brooke, you don't have to do anything."

"Do you want me to do it?"

"Ugh, I told you, I got it!"

"Fine macho man- OW WATCH IT!"

"Sorry."

"That's what she said," Jay snickered along with Cole, "This is too much."

"What's too much?"

Abella's firm voice spooked the boys, making them jump back from the door like a bunch of cats in a room full of rocking chairs. She only rolled her eyes before hearing the conversation behind the wall, her face turning shocked and red.

"We're almost there!"

"GO, GO GO GO GO GO GO-

YES, YES THAT'S IT!

YES YES OH LLOYD YES!"

The huntress had obviously heard enough, she roughly kicked the door open and stomped him ready to kill somebody when she took in the scene before her.

Lloyd and Brooke were on the couch, fully clothed, hugging each other while the parallel TV screen displayed a blinking high score record on one of the video games. The two kids thought they had been caught hugging so they shot apart like they had been burned.

"Everything ok, sis?" Brooklynn asked innocently as the older teen couldn't muster the words to speak, instead she turned and left closing the door behind her, her eyes glaring daggers toward the black and blue ninjas who were about to become severely similar to their colors.

For a moment, the game room was in silence, minus the sounds of Cole and Jay's cries for mercy.

"I wonder what that was about." Brooke mused, her eyes still locked to the door.

"I dunno," Lloyd picked up the controller, "Adults overreact to everything."
