Case of Crimson
The blood is pooling on the floor,
A deep dark crimson seeping under the door,
Just another case for me to solve,
With petty humans who just need to evolve,
In the case of crimson.
~x~
The weapon used is yet to be found,
The killer slips away without a sound,
Who was it this time is the only question,
And where did they get such cold hearted aggression,
In the case of crimson.
~x~
All I see is scarlet blood,
Pouring out in an ongoing flood,
But it does not faze me as it should,
I do not run like others would,
In the case of crimson.
~x~
I pull the facts we know together,
And see if it fits in the pattern of forever,
Then I see what I have missed,
The writing written through the mist,
In the case of crimson.
~x~
I see now what I didn't before,
The facts are puzzling me no more,
I see it now as plain as day,
Who killed the victim where she lay,
In the case of crimson.
~X~
I rush to John to tell him the news,
Of my findings and my views,
He tells me it makes sense and all fits as one,
And wonders how we missed the gun,
In the case of crimson.
~x~
The weapon is found under a chest,
A revolver that has sent bullets into flesh,
That has caused pain and blood to flow so freely,
And death to come at the end ideally,
In the case of crimson.
~x~
The killer is found and locked up for murder,
Until their trial leads them further,
The victim is buried under the stars,
And her family heads to the bars,
In the case of crimson.
~x~
Now John and I start to head home,
A place where I can freely roam,
Another case solved and put aside,
Now the killer has nowhere to hide,
In the case of crimson
