-Silver Trailer-

Silver Starr was a tall, young man, who normally wore a black shirt covered by a gray hoodie and black pants, but he had dropped the hoodie and pants for gray combat shorts and his specialized chestplate. His black hair was curly and unkempt and his gray eyes scanned the battlefield, but his most unusual features were his silver wings which poked out of the holes in his chestplate. Silver was an owl faunus, whom in recent years had become endangered, his family being the only known ones in existence. Right now though, that didn't matter. Silver's opponent wouldn't care about that right now.

Adam Taurus stood a few yards away from him, his mask on as always, covering his eyes, so no one knew what color they were. His red hair and black horns stood straight up. The bull faunus had Wilt drawn, in an offensive stance.

Silver drew his own blade, Wing's Edge, and adopted a defensive stance. It was a short silver blade with an intricate hilt in the shape of outstretched wings. At first glance it would seem like an ordinary short sword, but it had its secrets. One of them was it had been imbued with wind dust, which allowed it to launch blasts of air.

Adam charged at him, swinging his blade in a deadly downward arc. Silver stepped back, using his semblance to see the tension in Adam's upper right arm, predicted the follow-up horizontal slash, and successfully blocked it. They began to exchange blows, both getting a few good blows on the other.

They broke off as the bull faunus began to shoot at his opponent with Blush. Silver blocked each shot, then launched a blast of wind at his opponent. He changed Wing's Edge to its lance form, the weapon's other secret. He rushed forward and unleashed a flurry of stabs in quick succession. Adam managed to escape the attack, then began to press the offensive, slashing quickly with Wilt and following each successful hit with a shot from Blush.

By the time they broke away again, Silver sensed that his aura was about at 50%. He guessed that Adam had around 50% as well, especially was he saw Adam charging his semblance. Silver knew he would have to end this quickly. If Adam fully charged and unleashed his semblance, it would be over. Silver let his wings fully extend, changed Wing's Edge back to its sword form and gripped it backhanded. He flew straight at Adam at top speed. He got really worried when his opponent made no attempt to defend himself. That meant that the bull faunus was focusing completely on charging his semblance and that William had about thirty seconds before it was fully charged. He changed Wing's Edge back into its lance form and (with the help of the wind dust in the blade) launched Adam into the air. He then launched multiple wind blasts, which sent his opponent crashing into the wall. Silver flew up to his opponent and threw him into the ground. By this point Adam's shirt, blade, and hair were all glowing bright red. It was now or never. Silver spiraled down, lance aimed at Adam.

But he wasn't fast enough. Adam met him in the air, Wilt blazing as it struck the owl faunus midair. He felt his aura shatter as he hit the ground. He had created a three yard long skid mark in the floor upon landing. Adam landed 5 feet away from him, Wilt still in his hand. The bull faunus walked over to the defeated owl faunus.

Adam smiled, extended his hand, and said, "That was a good match, Silver. You almost beat me this time," Silver grabbed Adam's hand, and was pulled off of the ground.

Silver checked his scroll and, sure enough, he had only needed one more hit to win. He sighed, "I'm going to beat you one of these days."

"Is that all I am to you," Adam said playfully, "An obstacle for you to overcome?"

"No, Adam," Silver sighed again, "you're like a brother to me. I'm just hoping that if I beat you, my parents will let me join the White Fang."

"How about I try talking to them," Adam suggested.

"You sure that will work?" Silver asked.

"If it doesn't, I'm not sure beating me will," Adam responded, "I'm one of if not the strongest warriors in the White Fang, and you were one hit away from beating me," Just then, Blake and Ilia walked into the arena, "and let's not forget our other competition," he quietly teased, causing Silver to blush. They had both fallen in love with Blake, and it was pretty obvious to everyone, except Blake apparently, who was completely oblivious. They had made it into a competition, and both agreed to respect the other if they won.

"Hey guys," Ilia greeted.

"Hi Ilia, hi Blake," Adam and Silver both returned.

"Hello," Blake said, "what are you doing here?"

"We just finished a sparring match," Adam explained, "It was a close one. Silver was just one hit away from beating me."

"Wow," Ilia said, eyes sparkling, "you're getting really strong, Silver."

Adam continued, "I'm going to convince his parents to let him join the White Fang. With his skill he'll be one of the strongest fighters we have."

"Yeah," Ilia agreed, "your parents shouldn't worry so much. There won't be much out there that will be able to stop you. And even if you do come across something you can't beat, we'll be there to have your back."

"Thanks guys," Silver said, "But I'm still going to beat you one of these days, Adam!"

Adam chuckled, "Well you're going to have to work for it. I'm not going to let you surpass me so easily."

"Prepare to be knocked down from your spot as the strongest!" William challenged with a grin.

AN: Well that's the start of Team SLVR, my newest FanFic. *sigh* I really need to just stick to one or two at a time. B:PttE and DoA:TSP will most likely be on hold for a while. So… yeah, hope you enjoyed. Until next chapter, go out there, be great, and keep it simple.
