Hey there guys. I just got a bit of birthday inspiration as in a few short hours I will officially be 25 years old! yay me! Thanx to pand for wishing me happy birthday. This is just a little birthday wish I would like to come true.

A Birthday Wish

They were all gathered around ready to help Shalimar celebrate her birthday. The feral hated parties but they weren't going to let her dodge this one. She was turning 25 after all, a quarter of a century, something which Jesse had constantly been reminding her of everyday for 2 months.

Emma had taken Shal out shopping while the guys decorated sanctuary for the party. They covered the place in red and silver balloons and Jesse had made a huge banner with 'Happy Birthday Shal' written on it in large red letters.

Her cake was shaped like a cat, with yellow feral eyes and a red collar with 'Shalimar' written on it with icing. It had taken Emma 3 days to make it. They'd been trying to hide all of her presents, it hadn't been easy though, and Shalimar had a knack for finding their hiding places.

Adam couldn't believe that she was turning 25 already as he put up some more balloons. It only seemed like yesterday that he had found her, this frightened little feral who couldn't decide whether she wanted to fight the world or hide from it. He'd watched her grow into a strong, beautiful young woman and he couldn't be more proud of her.

Just then Emma and Shalimar walked around the corner. Shal's face lit up when she saw them all standing there. She'd guessed weeks ago that they were planning a party for her, it made her feel special, loved.

She sat down as they all sang happy birthday to her. Emma told her she had to make a wish before she blew out the candles on her cake. She closed her eyes and made her wish. She wished for this one special thing with all of her heart. She opened her eyes and blew out the candles.

Brennan took her hand as she stood up. Her favourite song was playing. He gently tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear and placed a hand on her waist. He slowly kissed her and she kissed him back.

Her birthday wish had come true.
