Ryan kicked at a stray pebble, which then scattered amongst the thousands of other stones and rested, with his long fingers hidden in his tight trouser pockets and a look of hatred displayed on his face. With a mutter of anger, he removed his hands from his jeans and crossed them around his chest.

"Stupid rocks, being all...rocky!" Ryan spat, and looked up at the stars, seeking answers to so many of his problems. Usually this helped, to ask a voiceless source. But not tonight. Nothing was going to go right. Nothing had gone right since...since...since the split.

Ryan collapsed to the grass, tears flowing from his cheeks. "WHY!" He asked of the twinkling lights far above him. "WHY CAN'T EVERYTHING BE PERFECT AGAIN? I WISH WE COULD REUNITE...AND BE PERFECT!" Ryan sobbed, screaming and wailing.

But, what Ryan didn't notice during his tantrum, that as he made that wish, a shooting star had passed. Suddenly, just as Ryan was about to regain his composure, a tingling sensation spread throughout his body, ending at his feet. The tingling turned into burning and left Ryan wondering what was going on, but as quickly as the feeling had begun, it quickly vanished...and so did the human Ryan.

In Ryan's place sat a small creature with an amazing resemblance to the man...with an additional tail, several whiskars, a furry body, and four paws that replaced his legs and arms. Ryan Ross had just transformed into a cat.
