Life needs contrast
Living in the Vocaloid household could be an exhausting thing. It was rarely quiet there – even at night there would always be something going on. Sometimes it would be Meiko, coming home late and completely drunk. Sometimes it would be Kaito, who decided to eat all the ice cream in one night. Sometimes it would be the twins, playing pranks on the other Vocaloids, and sometimes even Miku would find a way to break down the silence. Sometimes it would be even everything together.
Then there were those times when some of the engloids, the UTAUs or the third-generation vocaloids would come over and create a even larger mess than there already was.
Well, at least it was never boring and Meiko in particular, who had a kind of motherly role, would have a lot to do.
It didn't happen a lot, but there were times when it would be peaceful and quiet at the Vocaloid household. Mostly it would be because everyone was out recording new songs at Master's place. Those times were the times when Meiko got to recover from all the stress.
Due to their lack of popularity, it often so happened that Meiko and Kaito would be the only ones staying at home. Usually they would forget about whatever fight they might have had and Kaito would get his old guitar.
They would sit down on the old sofa in the living room, probably the oldest piece of furniture in the house, and Kaito would start playing. Nothing special, just whatever random music came to his mind. And she would sit there, sometimes leaning on his shoulder, and listen to his playing, remembering the times where it would be just them.
Sometimes Kaito would start playing their duets and they would sing, taking enjoyment in their own voices blending into each other's. It was a great feeling and Meiko loved it.
No matter how rude she might act, no matter how often she would be mad at the blue-haired man, she would always love singing together with him. Sitting there with him, feeling his warmth and singing together with him was her heaven. Those moments were when she felt best, totally at ease and so comforable.
They would sit there like that for hours. The best friends. The lovers. Nobody cared for labels if they were the only ones there. All their problems would fade into the background and everything would be perfect and peaceful for a few hours until the others would come back, together with all the stress and problems.
And while Kaito put the guitar back at its place in his room, Meiko would greet the others, those annoying twins with their pranks and the little diva with her strange obsession with leeks.
She loved them to pieces. She loved those stressful, lively times when everyone was at home and she also loved the peaceful times alone with Kaito while everyone else was rehearsing.
Those moments were all special. She wouldn't have been able to enjoy the peaceful moments without the lively ones, and the opposite was also true.
Yes, she loved her life.
