H.P.O.V.

Out of nine emails threatening our lives, this is the one that stood out the most. It didn't go in circles. It was straight to the point.

If you hurt him,

I hurt you.

Its that simple.

On the other emails, you could tell that the sender was grieving or angry. This one sounded like a determined warning.

If. Did he mean that it hadn't happened yet? Then I remembered that none of these death threats had, or ever would come true.

"We're ready for the briefing."JJ said from my office door.

"I'll be there in a minute."I answered as I looked it over again. She nodded and left as I moved all the emails to the trash bin.

With a satisfying 'click', they were gone.

Re.P.O.V., A Couple Days Later.

"Relax man!"Morgan chastised,"You're in a club on a Friday night!"

"Can we go now?"I pleaded with him.

"Do I know you?"A beautiful woman Morgan's age asked flirtatiously. Morgan turned his attention away from me and gave it to her.

"You most definitely will after this."Morgan replied with a grin as he started to walk away with her.

"You said you wouldn't leave me!"I shouted desperately after him.

"Go get 'em lover boy!"He called back over his shoulder. The next thing I knew he was swallowed by the crowd.

I nervously looked around at all the unfamiliar faces. Thankfully, no one was staring at me. The anger of being left all alone started to set in now.

If this was what he called fun, then he could just have it with that girl! He obviously couldn't care less about what happened to me.

I stormed out of there as fast as possible. He can just go home with her tonight then!

He said he wouldn't leave me until I was talking to someone. That liar! I slammed my car door shut and drove away shaking with anger.

1 hour later, Re.P.O.V., Reid's Apartment.

I sighed was my cell phone rang. It was probably that traitor wondering where I had gone. I looked at the caller ID anyway.

It was....Hotch? What was he calling me in the middle of the night for?

"Reid."I answered. I really hoped it wasn't another case; I wasn't ready to face Morgan again.

"Reid, Morgan's in the hospital."Hotch rushed to explain,"I know he was shot and hes going into surgery now, but not much more then that."

"Is he okay?"I asked immediately. What if he died? What if-

No. I could not consider any scenario that didn't have him alive. He was Derek Morgan, he had to be alright.

"I don't know Reid, I'm on my way there right now. To St. Peter's."

"Bye."I hung up before I lost it in front of him. Morgan had been shot? This stuff happened to me, I thought as I grabbed my keys and rushed out, Not him.

H.P.O.V., St. Peter's Hospital

The worry of it all was overwhelming. I couldn't imagine what Garcia and Reid were going through right now. Reid was pacing with an ashen expression. Garcia had burst into tears when she heard what happened, but she still pulled back all the deleted emails.

Worse then he worry was the guilt.

I could have prevented this if I had taken the emails seriously. Garcia was working on finder all the senders, but I knew which one it would end up being.

I knew which one was different and I just swept it to the side, like trash.

I took deep breath and composed myself. Morgan will be fine, I told myself, and we will catch his shooter.

My cell phone rang, causing everyone to jump. I rushed outside and answered it.

"Agent Hotchner."

A furious, unfamiliar female voice spoke.

"I warned you."

Click. The line went dead.
