As I was sitting on a rock waiting, the mark on my hand glowed. A whisper from the dear goddess Nayru told me that the Hero had finally awakened. I warped myself to the temple time nervously. I tried my best not let myself give away my true identity to him. He was my friend. Friends shouldn't have to keep secrets from each other. Now as far as Link is concerned, he doesn't know me. But I do. Ever since the day he sneaked past the castle guards when we were both twelve and when I was princess Zelda of Hyrule, I was his friend. But now all he will see is a stranger. When the time is right, I will reveal myself to him as my true self. Over the past seven years I had to deal with the pain of loss over my father who was killed by the King of Evil, and for the loss of my country, which is being defiled by my father's killer. The only person I can turn to for comfort is Impa, but she disappeared. Last I heard was that she was hiding in Kakariko village, the last strong hold of the shiekah.

As I waited to finally see Link, a beam of light appeared out of nowhere and shined on the Pedestal of Time. Link gently floated down and began to walk away. I approached the Pedestal. Link stopped, pulled out the Master Sword out of its sheath, and then he turned around to face whatever possible monster that may or may not come out and try to kill him. He probably did this because he heard my footsteps.

" I've been waiting for you Hero of Time," I said in the best masculine tone I could muster.

I continued on my speech to say,"when evil rules all, an awakening voice from the Sacred Realm will call those who are destined to be Sages, who will dwell in the five temples."

"One in a deep forest…"

"One on a high mountain…"

"One under a vast lake…"

"One within the house of the dead…"

"One inside a goddess of sand…"

"Together with the Hero of Time, the awakenend ones will bind the evil and return the light of peace to the world…"

"This is the legend of the temples passed down by my people, the shiekah."

I continued on to say, "I am Sheik. Survivor of the sheikahs…"

I looked at Link, who was still holding the Master Sword. He is the most handsome man I ever seen. "As I see you standing there holding the mythical Master Sword, you really do look like the legendary Hero of Time…" I said.

"If you believe the legend, then you have no choice. You must look for the five and awaken the five Sages…"

"One Sage is waiting for the time of awakening in the Forest temple. The Sage is a girl I'm sure you know…." I said as soft as my pseudo male voice would allow.

"Saria…" Link whispered to himself

"Because the evil power in the temple she cannot hear the awakening call from the Sacred Realm…"

Link silently gasped for the friend that he now knew was in trouble. I don't think it out of fear though, since he is the Holder of the Triforce of Courage. Was it really fear? Or concern? I'll never know for sure.

Then remembered a crucial piece of info that he needed to know, so I said to him again in my most manly voice, " unfortunately, equipped as you currently are you cannot even enter the temple. But if you believe me then you should head to Kakariko village…"

He nodded and ran out of the Temple of Time. He didn't even look back. I felt sad. Not only did effectively lied to him, he dosent even know who I really am. A single tear fell out of my eye. I knew that if shed my disguise then Gannon could easily find and kill me. Why dos the goddess of Time have to be so cruel to those who suffer?
