They met through a mutual friend in Virginia. It wasn't unexpected or anything epic like in the movies. It was normal, but anything but ordinary.

He's tired, but not exhausted. The excitement of the concert is still present in his veins, so he knows that he wouldn't be able to sleep if he went to the hotel.

He's very happy he didn't go to sleep now that he has seen her. Her chocolate brown eyes are so big and warm. She's wearing a black skirt and a blue sweater. He thinks she looks like some sort of a school girl. A really hot and beautiful school girl.

She outstretches a hand while still looking him in the eyes. "I'm Rachel." She says and his first thought is that she has a beautiful voice.

"I'm Finn." He says grabbing her hand and shaking it gently. Her hand is small compared to his so she sort of disappears in his.

"I know." She says smiling. "You were amazing up there." She motions with her eyes to the stage.

"Uhm, thank you." He still can't take compliments that well. (He never did.) Actually, he still can't believe his band is getting more and more fans as time passes. They have a small fan base but it's more than he ever expected. It feels so damn good to see people enjoying their music that sometimes, when he's on stage, he thinks it's all a dream.

He looks at Rachel and suddenly remembers that Martha told him that she was a singer too… or at least that's what he remembers. "You sing too, right?" He asks, half afraid he's wrong.

She smiles and nods her head. "Yes. I'm here in the city to try out for a part in a musical actually." She looks around the bar for a second and then her eyes land on his again. He's still sort of amazed at how warm her eyes are. "I assume Martha told you that." He nods. "What else did she say?" She says and the curiosity is very clear in her voice.

"Not much." He admits, leaning on the wall while watching her.

"She didn't say much about you either." She admits, putting a few strays of hair behind her ear. "Well, maybe you should know I really like hot chocolate."

"Me too." He blurts out even though he has no idea why she said such a random thing. He waits for an answer but she says nothing. She's looking at him like she's expecting something. He has no idea what though.

Maybe she noticed he was confused, because seconds later she's laughing and damn, her laugh is the cutest thing he has ever heard.

She looks at him still with a smile on her lips. "Maybe we should go for a hot chocolate someday then."

"Yeah." He says and then he realizes what she was waiting for before. (He really needs to start paying more attention to Puck's advices.) The next words escape his lips in a mix of fear and anticipation. "How about now? Do you have anything to do? I mean-"

"Now is perfect." She says with huge smile on her lips.

They leave the coffee shop after being there for three hours just talking and smiling and sharing things. He felt completely at ease with her and found himself having more fun than he ever thought he would.

It's snowing as they leave the coffee shop. He watches her put her hood on and then she looks up and smiles at him. He smiles back and then, as if it's the most natural thing in the world, he grabs her hand, intertwining their fingers.

She smiles again, this time bigger, happier. And it's in that moment that he notices that he was wrong before. Their hands fit perfectly in each other.

And as they walk away together, hand in hand, they both think the same.

We fit perfectly together.
