He could not move. He could not look for the ones who mattered the most to him. All he could do was follow his heart wherever it led him.

Unfortunately, he had no choice but to follow. Follow wherever he led him.

He could see through his light. The light that saw the good before the bad. The light that was brave, but at times slightly arrogant and overconfident. The light that would put his friends before anyone else.

He always felt that they both had that in common.

One day, out of nowhere, his heart fled towards another's body. It wasn't a bad place to be. Just different. He missed the heart he had called home for the past ten years. Still, he was able to experience another's point of view. He was able to see the darkness, but in a different light. He saw new friendships, adventure's, and heartaches.

Then, out of nowhere, he was suddenly able to return home. He was away for one year.

He was able to adjust back into his old environment in no time. Though he could not see anyone, he did not feel lonely this time. It was as if he was not the only one occupying this boy's heart. Not long after settling back in, however, everything went dark. He could not see, feel. The warmth, the light, it was no longer there. He offered the boy his armor, a means of protection, but it proved to be useless. Even that became possessed by the darkness, by the nightmares within.

It did not last. Another dived into the heart and took out the nightmare within. The darkness lifted. Once he was able to get a good look at his face, he knew it was a friend the boy was always around. His heart always shined brightly when they were with each other. It reminded him of when he was with the two people that mattered the most to him. Once he saw him in the distance, he felt an urge to ask him a question.

His friend confused him with the boy that offered him a temporary home, but he still had to know.

"What is the one thing that you care about more than anything else?"

"Huh...?" he responded, "Hmmm...my close friends."

Accepting the answer, he felt satisfied enough to take his leave. The young man's light would take care of everything. His master's darkness would fade, and everything would return to normal.

Once the boy finally awakened, he could feel the joy when his friend joined him. As time went by, the joy increased to such an astounding level as the boy met more of his friends from the past.

Somewhere in the distance, he could feel his body moving slightly. He could feel himself do what he was not able to do in over a decade. His heart radiated in the light. He was overcome with happiness, and with hope. He was smiling.

Thanks...Sora.
