Now my attempt at Auggie's POV. My other story had such great feedback I just had to try again :) Hope you all enjoy. Mild spoilers for "In the Light."

"Of course you are. I'm gonna sit here all alone. By myself."

It's times like these where he wished he could spill his heart out.

Times like these where he didn't want to talk to another girl.

He wanted to talk with her all night at the tavern.

And while that girl sounded beautiful, she also sounded as dumb as a box of hair.

"Tell me it's worth it.."

It's times like these he cursed his blindness.

It was times like these, when he knew she was vulnerable, he wished they were something more.

He wanted to slowly reach out and touch her cheek.

Run his fingers gently across her face and hair.

Memorize her, make a mental sketch of her.

The arch of her cheeks, the dip of her chin, the creases by her eyes when she smiled...

Tell her he'd make it worth it. Everything, just so she'd stay.

"Does that bother you?"

"I'd like to know how dirty I'm going to get."

TImes like these he wanted to lean in and kiss her.

Kiss this girl he'd only known for a few weeks.

Take the face that he'd memorized in his hands and crash their lips together.

Pull her body impossibly close to his, feel her smile against his lips and sigh into his mouth...

But instead he was left speechless, helpless to tell her what to do.

Oh how he wished he could see her.
