Ice Cream
By The Renaissance Sorceress
Footsteps echoed down the hall as a young girl named Logan quickly walked down it. There was an impish smile on her face as she thought about what was to come when she got to her destination, the kitchen. Soon she reached the end of the hall and entered the door that was there.
As she all but skipped past the island in the middle of the room, the girl's friend of the same age popped up from the other side of it. Logan jumped, startled.
"Nadia, oh my gods you scared me!" Logan cried at her friend who was looking at her like a deer in headlights. Nadia quickly wiped her mouth on her arm—there had been a mysterious white substance on it. At that same moment, a boy that was a little older than them popped up next to Nadia. He had a spoon in his mouth and was wide-eyed.
Logan jumped again at the appearance of the boy. She definitely hadn't been expecting that, but was suddenly angry at the sight before her.
"Nadia, Sheik," the girl said with a growl. The boy named Sheik swiftly removed the spoon from his mouth. Logan then went onto ask, "You weren't eating my ice cream, were you?"
Nadia and Sheik turned to each other and exchanged a frantic glance. "Uh, we didn't eat it all?" Nadia replied in a quiet voice.
Logan was suddenly surrounded by an aura that resembled fire and her eyes turned gold. A red orb of fire materialized in her palm.
"You - ate - my - ice cream?" She snarled.
Sheik, without looking away from Logan, leaned down to Nadia's ear. "I think now would be a good time to run." She nodded in agreement and they bolted out the patio door, Logan close behind.
"Fire BALL!" Logan's voice shouted. "Flare Arrow! Rah TILT!"
Meanwhile, a boy named Link entered the kitchen and spotted the pale of ice cream on the floor. "Hey, look at that!" He exclaimed. Link went over to the pale and picked it up, then picked up the spoon and began to eat the ice cream. Once it was all gone, he dropped the pale and spoon on the counter and left the kitchen feeling satisfied.
Logan abruptly appeared behind the patio door and wrenched it open. She stormed over to the kitchen muttering, "I told them to never touch my ice cream. But they did it anyway!" And then Logan saw the pale on the counter.
It only took her a minute to figure out what happened to the rest of the ice cream.
"LIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINK!"
