A/N: I came up with this really late at night, so enjoy my weird sleep-deprived idea.
...
Pit slumped in his chair, bored out of his mind. Lady Palutena was apparently too busy to have him around the temple at the moment, so he had to spend the day in Viridi's temple/treehouse thingy. Unfortunately, his 3DS had run out of batteries and his phone was about to run out as well, and Viridi didn't have a single outlet in her temple. So, he was in her workshop, where the nature goddess brainstormed ideas for new troops. Right now, she was fiddling with a pine one and a few leaves and needles.
Pit's stomach rumbled a little.
"Hey, Viridi?"
"What is it, Pit?" the Goddess of Nature said, not looking up from her work.
"I'm hungry."
"What do you want me to do about it?" she grunted, obviously not wanting to be pestered. She wasn't in the best of moods because of being asked to watch over Pit on such short notice.
"Hmmm..." Pit hummed as he thought. "Make me a grilled cheese."
"Go make it yourself. I'm busy," Viridi sighed, fiddling with the scales on the pinecone.
"...Viridi?"
The goddess in question didn't bother hiding her impatience, and let out a loud sigh. "What?"
"Where's the kitchen?" Pit asked.
"How about you go off on an epic adventure to find it?" she suggested in hopes that he'd be occupied by that task for a little bit.
"But I'm hungry," the angel complained.
"Not my problem," Viridi responded.
Pit frowned. Obviously, he'd have to be a little more creative if he was to persuade the nature goddess to make him some lunch. "Okay then, I guess I'll just starve to death," he said casually.
"Go for it."
Pit was unamused by her sarcasm, but the small statement brought with it an idea.
So, the next time, his stomach growled, his eyes widened and he gripped his midsection with a dramatic gasp. "Augh, woe is me!" Pit cried loudly. "My stomach is empty, and yet no grilled cheese is in sight!" Viridi gave no indication that she was paying attention, but if one had been in front of her they would've seen her eye twitch in irritation as Pit continued his dramatic display. "Oh, the hunger pangs! Oh, the unbearable pain! I fear that not even a grilled cheese could save me now!" Pit leaned to one side and fell out of his chair with a cry of fake anguish. The chair didn't fall over like he had planned, so he kicked it and it fell over with a clatter. "I fear that this may be the end!" The angel then rolled onto his back and dramatically reached towards the ceiling. "But, my suffering shall end soon, for I can see the light!"
"I bet that's your goddess putting you out of your misery."
Pit looked to Viridi with an unamused expression as he laid on the floor, limbs splayed out like a starfish. She was close to giving in, he could hear it in her voice. He just needed to push a little farther. "Oh no, the hunger is uncontrollable! It's too strong! I might have to eat my boots!"
"That should be interesting to watch."
"Tell Lady Palutena that my sacrifice was not in vain!"
"I'll text her later."
Seriously, was it so hard to make a grilled cheese? Pit exclaimed, "it's gone past the point of no return! I can feel my stomach eating itself!" The overly dramatic angel rolled onto his side in a fetal position. "Oh, the pain! I can feel my stomach acid eating away at me, consuming my-"
"FINE!" Viridi cut him off before he could finish that sentence. "I'LL MAKE YOU A GRILLED CHEESE, JUST PLEASE SHUT UP!"
Pit pumped his fists into the air with a "woohoo!" as Viridi stormed out of the room to go make him a grilled cheese.
