The snow- glistened trees shook violently, as a roar of thunder crashed loudly in the sky. The purple and grey sky shimmered with flashes of light, striking down an innocent tree, causing it to fall. Inside the Kame Game House, a roaring fire glowed as two boys lay under a large blanket, snuggled in each others arms. All was silent except the faint breathing of one, and the crackle of the fire.
Yugi Mouto rubbed his eyes as he awoke to see himself lying in Yami's arms. /I wonder how long I've been sleeping for/ He smiled contently as he moved closer to his yami. It had been the perfect day. He had finally worked up the courage to tell Yami how he truly felt for him. He had been so happy when Yami had told him he felt the same way.
*Flash Back*
"Hi Yami, I'm home!"
"Hello Yugi, I'm glad your home. How was your day?"
"It was fine," said Yugi, his voice shaking a little.
Yami looked carefully at his hikari. "Is everthing alright, Yugi?"
Hai yami, I'm fine
/I've got to stop shaking. I have to tell him sometime. I can't hide my feelings anymore. Today is Valentine's Day. I have to do this. I can't be afraid anymore/
"Yami...I uh...I need to tell you something."
"What is it Yugi," asked Yami sounding concerned.
"Well..I---
"Yugi, is that you" asked Yugi's grandpa coming down the stairs.
"Yes, it's me grandpa."
"Look Yugi, It's snowing outside" said Yugi's Grandpa excitedly.
"Uh, that's nice Grandpa, but I am in the middle of something.
"Yugi, can we go outside and walk in the snow," asked Yami sweetly.
"Well..alright", said Yugi a little upset. /I guess I can do this later/
Yugi and Yami stepped out into the cold air. Yugi, walked alongside his yami, and had a sad look on his face. He really wanted to tell him, and now he might never get the chance.
"Heads up, Yugi" screamed Yami, throwing a small snowball at his hikari.
"It's freezing" said Yugi shivering.
The sun was slowly setting, and a pallet of colors painted the sky.
"Yami I"—
As the sun finally set, and Valentine's Day drew to it's close Yami did something he had been waiting for for along time. He pulled Yugi close to his warm body, and gave him a gentle kiss. The kiss seemed to last for an eternity.
"I'm sorry Yugi but"—
"Yami. I love you" cried Yugi bursting into tears as he hugged his yami.
"I love you too, Yugi"
*End of Flashback*
"Good morning sleepy head" teased Yami giving a soft kiss on his koi's forehead.
"Did I ever tell you how much I love you, Yami?"
"Yes, and did I ever tell you how you mean everything to me?"
The storm had finally passed, and a bright sun held its place in the blue sky. It had been the perfect evening, and there will be many more to come.
