The Wedding Day
The sun is rising in the sky
Soft yellow light fills the room
Illuminating her face as daybreak
Rolls over the silent house
She smiles in her sleep at the beautiful
Dream that is filling her head
And making her forget her doubts
About the day that lays ahead
She awakens slowly as the wind
Creeps through a crake in the door
And softly starts playing with
Her braided blue-black hair
She smiles to herself as she remembers
The first time those long awaited words
Fell from his lips as he held her
In a warm embrace the starry night
Then doubts fill her head again
And the smile transforms into a
Small frown as she tries to tell herself
There's nothing to worry about
This is the last night that she'll
Have to sleep in her room alone
She was tired of falling asleep at night
And waiting for the first rays by herself
He would always so that she deserved someone
Better who had not done the things he had
And she would always tell him that she
Could not be happy with anyone else
She here's the boy who had become
Like a brother to her yelling outside
Bringing the smiles back to her face
And making her forget her doubts
Slowly she gets up and walks across the room
She lets the wind wrap itself around her
And carry her out into the yard
Where he was smiling and waiting for her
