I bit my bottom lip nervously smearing my candy red lipstick. I had told Dante that this was a bad idea; I thought as I stared down a mass of my peers in the court yard of Spartan high. They stared back at me awkwardly, stunned by my upgrade. I had been the town nerd, with my wild long frizzy hair and wide rimmed glass I had been everyone's favorite subject of ridicule. I mentally repeated the words that Dante had drilled into me "blend in" that was not so easy when all eyes were on me. I ran my fingers through my now silky chocolate brown hair and played with the ends timidly. A week ago my life had been stolen from me by a vampire that was yet to be named he had left me in an ally filled with trash. Dante had found me and saved my life by making me one of his kind. I had spent the last week learning to control my bloodlust and how to appear conspicuous and not giving away my new supernatural powers that I was still having trouble controlling.
"Holy shit!" Zach Goodman said as he rounded the corner spilling his books on the concrete.
"Is that Riley Vincent?" he said looking me up and down letting his eyes devour me. My new body was something to see long legs that led up to equal stunning hips and somewhere along the line I had got nice breast. I smiled brightly at my own personal tormenter he had made high school a living hell for me I bated my now luxurious eyelashes at him then let out a small laugh and stepped over him. I made it to all my classes without incent; well almost I was seriously going to have to consider hiding during Anatomy. The whole class revolved around dissecting things and the smell of blood was almost too much. Thank god that I would be finished with high school in only three more days and I would be off to college at Settle Pacific University. The end of the day did not come quickly enough; I was really starting to get annoyed at the constant stares almost as if they were zombies and I was the only one left with a brain. I went to my locker and place my books inside; finals were over so there would be no more use for them. I exited the double doors and made my way to the parking lot. In an instant I heard the loud roar of a motorcycle hammering down the road; I could barely contain my excitement at Dante's arrival. He pulled up, removing his Ray Bans to expose his translucent grey eyes. He very simply wore a plain white t-shirt complemented by a pair of black leather pants that only enhanced his rippling muscles. His dark chestnut hair was just long enough to be pushed behind his ears almost looking like James Dean. He gave me one of his dashing smiles as he removed his cigarette and flicked it to the ground; he was the embodiment of sex appeal.
"Why hello" he said pulling out a pair of red Ray Bans and handing them to me.
"Thanks, don't you know smoking will kill you?" I said giggling as I climbed on the back of the bike.
"Ha, ha, ha how much longer before you graduate and I am done with you?" he said only joking; but striking a nerve. Dante had used his only chance at finding a companion for life to save my life and no matter what we done we would be bonded for life.
