"Hey Soul…"
"Yeah Maka?"
"…do you remember how we met?"
"Like it was yesterday." Soul smiled at her.
(A/N: I am changing how they meet just to strengthen the bond between them, and I'm going to change how Tsubaki and BlackStar and DTK meet them. Sorry about the changes, but I find that when I'm reading a fanfic and it's the same, it's kind of dry and a little boring to me. Whelp, I hope you enjoy :3 )
-several years prior-
"Maka! Get up! You're going to be late for School!" a very disarrayed Spirit called up the stairs.
"Father," Maka glared at the back of his head. "I'm already leaving. You're the one who's going to be late for work."
With that, Maka turned and left for school.
Maka wasn't overly popular. She was seen as a nerdy book-lover to her peers. Only Ox seemed to have a liking for her, but she thought he was a little creepy…
"Well today is going to be another perfectly average day." Thought Maka dryly. "It's a wonder that all these kids can make it through each day."
Maka's class was still too young to be pair up any of the weapons with the meisters, She hadn't met a weapon yet, other than her scatterbrained, easily enamored father.
Either way it didn't matter. She adjusted the shoulder strap on her bag and walked into the classroom. The windows at the top were letting in the light to show a fairly nice day. Strangely though, there were various large potted plants with foreign flowers of all sorts of shapes and sizes.
Puzzled Maka just took her seat to see what events would unfold.
One curious student decided it would be a good idea to walk in and try to smell a flower. He was then pulled into the pot and wrapped in vines in what appeared to be a carnivorous plant. Stein's glasses glinted from the shadows of the plants as his chair flew forward. He jotted down notes of the plants digestion patterns.
A white haired, red eyed boy walked into the room. Normally Maka didn't pay attention to boys, but he was… different.
He walked through the crowd of chattering kids, but didn't pay any attention to them. She's never seen this boy before. She didn't even realize it, but she was watching him cross the room to where the plants were being held.
The mummified boy was barely struggling at this point, it's sad how few people noticed that it even happened.
Maka watched him step in front of the pot. He pointed his right arm straight to his right, when there was a flash of light around his arm and, in the place of the arm, the blade of a scythe had appeared.
"Oh my Death." Maka gasped. "He's a scythe."
The white haired boy cut the vines and then walked out of the room. A few glanced at him, but they all seemed to miss this white haired boy, except for her, and the one kid who she loathed.
The boy was blue haired. He insisted people call him 'God.' He had a bigger ego than he had hair. He was muscular, and he had an aura of power behind him. But he was idiotic and reckless. So no one took him too seriously.
Apparently the blue-haired boy was furious that he so calmly walked in and cut him free without a single yell, or cheer or applause from anyone.
Maka didn't see why it mattered… It was just a boy cutting someone free from some vines.
BUT…. he was a boy weapon… who was a scythe, and cut the boy free without even breaking his stride.
Who WAS he?

Okay. This was actually from FOREVER ago, like so long ago I don't remember writing it. But it was in my old folder of stuff I wrote. I reread it, and I'm honestly really surprised by how much I personally liked it. So I wonder if anyone else will :3
I just decided to continue it. :D
