I Only own Sierra and Jamie. They're OC's. They aren't supposed to be Mary-Sue's so sorry if they come across as such. I'm still deciding on whether to leave you all with this one-shot or post the stories I've written about Jamie and Sierra. Please don't archive or anything like that without my permission. Thanks! Well, R&R. :)
She Keeps Him Sane
Leonard McCoy would never admit that her memory keeps him alive. After he and Jocelyn divorced, it was quite different and practically life wasn't even worth living.
Until he met her.
Her name was Sierra Harte. She was a doctor and part of a 18th/23rd century community. He could still remember her. He could remember her dark probing eyes and golden blonde hair. He could remember her bright smile and her sarcastic manner.
He had never met anyone like her. Of course, their happiness couldn't last.
He had to leave, she had to stay. They had one night and that had been it. He had convinced himself to get her out of his mind, just by drinking away the memories. He was surprised to get a message from her 15 years later. She had a daughter named Jamison
His daughter.
He couldn't believe it. He pretty much had commanded Jim to take the ship to Sierra's home planet. By the time they got there, it was too late to see Sierra. She had died saving her people from a horrible disease.
Stubborn girl.
They had gone to the planet with no one, but came back with 15 year old Jamie Harte, her daughter. Jamie had been one of the only survivors of the plague.
He would never say that Jamie kept him sane.
Jocelyn would never want him to see his daughter, Joanna, again. Something about Jamie reminded him of Joanna. He couldn't understand what. Jamie's copper hair and blue eyes come straight from her aunt Casey, but she looks like Sierra. Jamie will say though, that she is more like her father than anything.
Stubborn girl, but she was right.
Jamie was too much like the daughter he wanted to know and he was glad for this. He needed someone to keep him accountable.
She's taken a liking to Chekov.
He couldn't believe his eyes when he saw them talking. Jamie was laughing just like her mother. Chekov was wide eyed and smiling. He had to admit, Jamie had her mother's way with people.
At the end of the day, Jamie would come to sickbay and sit with him, looking through medical files. She would comment on some and listen when he spoke.
Yes, Jamie kept him sane, but so did his job. He did his job well, she did her job well. He was the doctor, she was his daughter.
All was as it should be in his life.
