Alex was finishing her paperwork and notes on the Manning case when she heard a knock on her office door. It was late enough in the evening that the rest of the building's occupants should have left for the day, which, in her mind, meant that her visitor could only be one person. She looked up as she said "Come in." She smiled as Detective Benson entered her office, "Good evening, Olivia."
"Good evening, counselor. Did you get the murder indictment for the Manning case?"
"Yes, I did. I'm finishing up some paperwork on it now."
"You know it was quite humorous watching you argue with Elliot today. Something wrong with your voice?" Olivia said, barely holding back her laughter.
Alex pushed back from her desk. She felt her face growing warm with slight embarrassment. She looked at Olivia and chuckled before saying, "You are evil. You're standing there trying not to laugh and you know exactly why I couldn't raise my voice since, in all fairness, it's your fault." As Alex finished, she stood and moved toward her office door closing and locking it and then turning to face Olivia.
"My fault?" Olivia asked with a chuckle. She pulled Alex to her and wrapped her arms around her waist. "I don't believe I was the one screaming my name."
"True, but who was causing me to scream your name?" Alex said, her voice beginning to crack again.
Olivia laughed and said, "I'm just that good. My mouth was otherwise occupied yet I made you scream my name?"
"I believe what your mouth was occupied with is what caused the screaming, therefore you are responsible for the screaming and, consequently, liable for my hoarse voice." Alex finished and leaned down to start kissing and nibbling at Olivia's neck.
Olivia's breath hitched at the sensation of Alex's lips on her neck. She whispered, "I believe that is all circumstantial, but if this is the punishment for being found guilty, then I plead guilty to all charges."
Alex drew back to stare into Olivia's eyes. God those eyes, she thought. She smiled. "You're easy to persuade. So readily agreeable to plead guilty. I wish all those convicted were so easily swayed."
Perhaps if you used your mouth the same way with them as you do with me, it would be easier," Olivia joked.
"I'll stick to my elocution skills with the real criminals and reserve my other talents for making you squirm," Alex said, leaning down to resume her assault on Olivia's neck. She pulled back momentarily to say, "And scream."
"You are insatiable," Olivia said, moaning.
"You complaining?" Alex asked while slipping Olivia's jacket off her shoulders.
"Never," Olivia whispered.
"Good," said Alex, pushing Olivia toward the sofa.
