Based on a video of Ross and Rachel. It's the best! I own nothing

They had been fighting for a while, at first it was a little fight, about who was supposed to do the dishes, or leaving a beer bottle that left a water ring for the tenth time.

Then it got worse when he got a new job with his ex-girlfriend, Gwen. It went downhill from there.

"I'm sick of having this fight Courtney."

Courtney was taken aback. He had always called her 'Princess'.

"So… what happens now?"

"I'm going to stay with Geoff and Gwen for the time being. Don't worry, I just need to think…" Duncan said

"Okay… I'll be here, if you want to come back…"

Duncan walked out. Courtney stood in her spot for a while, arms crossing.

"I'm not going to cry. I'm not cry. I refuse to cry. I was a CIT god damn it." She thought "I'm so going to cry…" she kneeled on the ground and cried into her hands. "This can't be happening…"

A week later, Courtney walked into her room and found papers and Duncan standing near her bed.

"I see you moved toward the middle…" Duncan tried
"Cut with the small talk… what the hell is that?"

"Courtney, I love you. I love you so much. But… it has been the same, ever since we got married. You're my best friend, and I don't want to lose you…"

"You could never lose me. So where do I sign?"

"Here…" He pointed

After she signed and handed him the papers, he sighed

"I never thought I would divorce you…" he whispered

"Yeah… well, I always thought if we got married it would be the one that would last forever… things change, people change I guess…"

"I want you to know, I never liked Gwen, and I like pain in my ass kinda girls."

"Good luck finding another pain in your ass girl." Courtney smiled "I know it's going to be hard finding a guy like you…"

Duncan smiled and rolled the papers up, looking down.

"You mean a lot to me Princess…"

Courtney hugged him. Duncan held her close

"You mean the world to me Duncan." She said

Duncan kissed her head "I'm sorry it had to end this way…"

"It's better than one of us sleeping with someone…"

Duncan smiled "Yeah…"

They pulled away "See you around?" he asked, heading to the door
"yeah, bye Duncan."

"Bye Princess…" Duncan walked out.

Courtney looked down.

"It can't be over…" a voice said inside her head

"Then how come it is…" she told herself.
