Better Than Peanut M and Ms?

Sam, in the guise of a stockboy, strode down the candy aisle. His target was the grocery store's warehouse entrance, and the drugs and supplies he needed to acquire for Dean.

A five-year-old kicked and screamed from her grocery cart seat. "Waaahhh! Choc'a Charlie! Choc'a Charlie!" Her distraught mother flagged Sam down. "Sir!"

"Yes, ma'am?"

"You're out of Chocolate Charlie. D'you have any in back? I promised her—"

"I'll look. Wait here."

"Here." Sam gave Dean a piece of the chocolate, marshmallow and peanut confection.

Dean, in bed with his bandaged foot elevated, chewed experimentally, then enthusiastically. "More, Sammy?"

A/N Chocolate Charlie is a holiday tradition in South Bend, Indiana. It's made by Claey's Candy Co. and is only available from Thanksgiving to New Year's in the South Bend area. Growing up, Christmas wasn't Christmas without some Chocolate Charlie to munch on. You can order it online, but only by the case – ten 1 ½ pound boxes. Fortunately, I've converted enough of my friends and co-workers into Chocolate Charlie fans that I can still enjoy my hometown treat during the holidays.
