A Promise
Disclaimer: I don't own Harry Potter.
This is an entry for the Cruel and Unusual Pairings challenge for Bellatrix Lestrange: The Dark Lord's Most Faithful. Here it is! This dedicated to the lovely Azzie who wished for Dobby/Winky. I hope this delights you and yes this is more unusual than cruel.
Dobby looked at Winky who seemed to be at the worst possible place a house elf could be: fired. Dobby knew the pains Dobby had gone through working for the masters of the Malfoy house and Dobby didn't want Winky to think it was Winky's fault. Winky's masters had treated Winky unfairly and Dobby knew this because of Harry Potter. Harry Potter had enlightened Dobby and Dobby loved Harry Potter.
Winky drinked another bottle of Butterbeer and Dobby sighed. Dobby needed to do something but what? The other House Elves told Dobby Winky was a disgrace allowing herself to become a drunk. Dobby disagreed. Winky was just mourning. Winky was a sensitive and loyal House Elf. Dobby helped Winky by letting Winky stay in the Room of Requirement but how long could Winky live like this? Winky would just drown in Butterbeer. Dobby didn't want that. But what could Dobby do?
Winky hiccupped and Dobby knew that meant Winky needed to go to bed. Dobby held Winky's hand and apparated to the door of the Room of Requirement.
"Come on Winky. Winky needs to go in the room." Dobby ushered Winky in. Dobby gently put Winky into a small bed and tucked Winky in.
Winky hiccupped again and gripped the edge of the blanket, Winky's eyes closing. Winky was soon asleep.
Dobby checked to make sure Winky was okay and tucked Winky in. Dobby cared for Winky. Dobby watched Winky sleep and then Dobby kissed Winky's forehead.
"Dobby loves Winky and Dobby promises to help Winky. Dobby will find something to cheer up Winky. Good night Winky." Dobby whispered and walked out the room to the House Elves quarters and slept the night away.
R and R! Please don't favorite without reviewing (even if it is just two words or a smilie icon!).
