Aang/Zuko fic. No hate please. Love is love and love is igneous… Hope you enjoy ^_^
Aang moistened his lips. He was nervous and had a right to be. After all, he was alone.
Aeris High seemed like a distant memory as he approached the twisting, obscurely-designed school gates of Ignius Academy, and stood staring in thought of this new year. It would be a new start for him. A chance to get away from the horrendous torment and loathing he faced daily from his envious peers. He shook his head, the humidity forming sweat droplets on his bald scalp.
"This'll take a lot of getting used to…" Aang mumbled under breath, before his thoughts were interrupted by a student rushing past. He couldn't help but stare. The student's amber eyes smouldered as his stare penetrated deep into Aang's soul.
"Watch it next time, loser." The stranger scoffed in an oddly alluring way that made Aang shudder.
"Don't mind him. He's just pretty grouchy at school…and outside of school…pretty much all of the time actually." He turned around to see the owner of this voice- a girl of about his age- staring of at the stranger before she turned to Aang and laughed. She was slim, with mocha coloured skin and she wore her long brown hair in a loose, fish tail plait.
"I think the term you're looking for is dick. He's a dick Katara," The boy standing next to her remarked "I'm Sokka by the way and this here is my sister Katara and you can take it from me, Zuko is not worth even thinking about."
Aang nodded and smiled. He felt included. Part of something. He could do this. He really COULD do this!
He can't do this. Registration has to be the worst way of starting off a school day. He had approached the reception desk by the headmaster's office before school had begun and was handed a timetable where he learned he would be registering in 169 with the head of drama Mr. Alves. After making his way through corridors and avoiding being crushed twice he made it to 169 where he quietly made his way up to the front desk in order to introduce himself. Big mistake.
He looked upon his new peers in horror as when he introduced himself he could hear mumblings about his sexual orientation mostly from his newly acquired enemy Zuko. Blushing, he quickly wrapped up his introduction and scurried back to his seat. Aang could feel the dark haired boy's eyes staring through the back of his head… What was his problem?
The bell rang indicating the end of registration and the bald headed boy attempted to make sense of his new timetable- holding it closely to his face in order to interpret the tiny font- whilst walking into the hall but instead of exiting through the open door he hit something solid and fell backwards.
"I thought I told you to watch it next time, loser?" Aang looked up to see Zuko leering over him. "I-I-I'm so sorry… it won't happen again, I promise" "Oh, I'm going to make sure of that…"
Reviews would be great!:3 However, constructive criticism only please. Should I continue? I have a few ideas in mind but want to see what everyone thinks… Thanks for reading!:)
