"This is boring yo."

Tetsuya sighed sadly as he rested his hands on the back of his head, looking up at the clouds as they rolled by in the clear blue sky. Leaning back on the park bench with his trusty stereo by his side the boy looked casually about the park, he was supposed to be practising his newest dance routine but it simply wasn't the same without a partner to share the fun with. Most if not all of his main crew were either not around or simply too busy other things. Kuguru and Kiri were out of town visiting relatives and Baku was at a deck builders seminar. Gao was training for an up coming martial arts tournament and Zanya was simply out of the question from the moment Tetsuya opened his mouth. Looking at the young rapper like he had grown a second head and a couple dozen noses, that and his younger brother Akatsuki was in bed with a bad cold could not accept any visitors either. Even his own Buddy Asmodai was indisposed, hard at work at the TV studio filming the latest season of his dance show.

Feeling dejected Tetsuya headed to the park to try and get started on his dance practice anyway but the motivation simply wouldn't come, giving another lonely sigh he plucked one of his bananas and was in the possess of finishing it off when he caught sight of a familiar face passing by the park. Taking the form of a muscular young man dressed in black, walking down the sidewalk with a confident air.

"Hey is that Genma?" The boy spoke allowed as the older teen swiftly passed out of sight, not wanting this potential chance to slip by Tetsuya tossed the fruit peel into a near by wastepaper basket and chased after the middle schooler. "YO GENMA!"

The leader of the Seifukai stopped upon hearing someone shouting his name and turned around to see Tetsuya running towards him waving an arm in the air.

"Yes, is there something you need?" Genma asked, even when calm his deep voice still echoed of authority.

"Sup Genma, I was just wondering if you would like to be my partner for this awesome new dance I've been work'n on." The boy asked with his usual vigour and hopefulness in his tone, the bananas on either side of his head bouncing from his energy as if they had a life all their own.

Genma cocked an eyebrow slightly at the odd request, not wanting to come of as harsh he considered his words carefully before responding.

"I'm sorry Tetsuya I don't dance, I have a meeting to attend to at the Seifukai Hall in a short while and am heading there right now."

The young dancer's eyes fell to the ground along with his mood, even more so than before. "Oh. That's okay yo, I won't hold you up then."

Genma couldn't describe it but seeing the sadness and disappointment that washed over the boy's naturally happy and carefree face yanked very hard on his heart strings, to the point of threatening to tear them from his chest as he watched Tetsuya turn and walk off back the way he came with his hands in his pants pockets. Looking over his shoulder towards the direction of the Hall, Genma started to feel unusually torn. He had made it a strong point to always be on time for meetings and any other event, school related or otherwise. No matter how hard he tried to justify the latter Genma simply could not find it in his heart to just walk away like this.

Why don't you spend some time with the boy? The meeting isn't for a little while yet and what harm could it do?

"10 minutes." Genma called after him, after some careful consideration. "That's all I have time for."

Tetsuya's head jerked up as he spun around and stared back in Genma's direction, his mouth dropped open in surprise.

"What, really? You mean it?" Just to be sure he heard the Seifukai leader properly. "Seriously?"

Genma nodded as Tetsuya ran up to him, his face lit up like the brightest Christmas tree and his trademark perky smile returned once more.

"Yes!" The boy exclaimed throwing his hands in the air. "You rock Genma ma man, ya won't regret this!"

Genma just smiled back as Tetsuya grabbed his arm and eagerly lead him back to the bench, once there the rapper hopped up onto it so now he was looking the older teen at eye level.

"First we gotta make you look the part."

"Look the part?" Genma tilted his head slightly in puzzlement, his companion just gave him a wink and thumbs up in response.

Tetsuya took Genma's hat off and turned it backwards causing the long lock of his bangs usually tucked up neatly beneath it to hang down in between his eyes, he furrowed his brow a little as Tetsuya next rolled up his sleeves over his elbows and unbuttoned his uniform until it was fully opened. He was starting to have second thoughts about doing this but the Seifukai was a man of his word as Tetsuya stood back to look him over again.

"Awesome, but you might want to loose those for a bit." The performer smiled pointing at Genma's feet. "Don't want you falling and breaking an ankle, know what I'm say'n?"

Genma looked down at his geta and agreed that they were probably not the best choice of footwear for what they were about to do. Sliding them off he set them on the bench next to Tetsuya's stereo as the play button was pressed and a familiar bouncy tune began to flow through the cool afternoon air.

"Yo, yo, yo!" Tetsuya began as he started to dance, moving his hips and arms as if he were controlling the music like it was a puppet on a string. "Come on Genma, you try!"

Genma who was starting to feel a little awkward tried to match his movements to his companion's, check that, he was feeling very awkward as he swayed and bobbed his hips. His arms waving about like two under cooked pieces of asparagus, only proving to the Seifukai how fundamentally ungraceful he was. When he tried to imitate one of Tetsuya's twirls Genma almost tripped over his own feet causing him to stagger around, never once did Genma believe that trying to keep up with the quicker more dance savvy youngster would be easy. This only proved him right, truly the master had become the amateur.

"Sorry I'm not much of a dancer." Genma apologized as Tetsuya could sense his partner's growing frustration.

"Hey chillax, it's no prob." Tetsuya smiled and reached out to Genma. "Here give me your hands."

"My hands?" Genma asked looking befuddled but did as he was told, the rapper's small hands looking smaller still as he gently gripped the older teen's. Slowly running his hands down Genma's, over his knuckles until he was holding the ends of his fingers.

"You're too tense G-man you've gotta relax then you'll find your natural rhythm." The boy's green eyes seemed to sparkle as he squeezed them softly. "Dancing is like Buddy Fights, no need to get so serious yo. Gotta have fun and enjoy yourself, I'll slow down though so you can keep up."

Genma watched as Tetsuya started the song over and stood beside him, getting into his original position.

"Yo Genma you gotta be eager like you're fighting by Duel Sieger, come on you're on a roll let the music take control!"

Like I'm by Duel Sieger...heh though if Sieger were here he'd think I've lost my mind.

Genma took a deep breath and relaxed as the music began to play, letting go of any uncertainly and going with the flow. Slowly but surely dancing became less awkward and more enjoyable, thanks to Tetsuya's continued words of encouragement he and Genma were soon in perfect sync. Their laughter soon filled the air as a small crowd of passerby had stopped to watch the show, from Tetsuya doing a back flip off of Genma's shoulders to some martial arts style high kicks and punches Genma suggested to spice the routine up.

"Okay big finish!"

Tetsuya shouted as he ran towards Genma who cupped his hands together as his partner planted his foot in them and was tossed into the air as if to preform a Diabolical Hardcore. Tetsuya flipped though the air and did a half twist over Genma's head before landing on his shoulders, the crowd exploding with enthusiastic cheers.

"Nailed it!"

"You were right Tetsuya that was a lot of fun." Genma said looking up at the youngster, grinning from ear to ear.

"Ha ha true dat yo!" Tetsuya laughed as he threw his arms back to wave to their adoring fans, unfortunately he threw them back a little too hard and too far causing the rapper to lose his balance. "WOAH BAD IDEA!"

"AH TETSUYA I CAN'T SEE!" Genma shouted as his world suddenly went black as Tetsuya's hands clamped down around his eyes, the sudden pull causing Genma to stumble backwards. The crowd gasped as the pair staggered around like a deranged marionette, Tetsuya trying hard to keep from falling off as his limbs flailed in disarray until Genma lost his footing and both toppled backwards into a large duck pond behind the bench with a loud splash. The few water fowl there flew away quacking and squawking angrly at the sudden disruption to their afternoon swim.

"Master Genma!" A deep familiar voice called out as someone in a dark suit pushed their way through the crowd.

"Doai!" Genma exclaimed quickly getting to his feet, coming face to face with his second in command at the water's edge.

Had Doai not seen it with his own eyes he never would have believed it but there standing knee deep in mud stirred water was Genma, his normally clean, pressed and buttoned up uniform lay open soaked. His arm band hung in a soggy loop around his wrist, bangs now stuck messily around his eyes as his hat now floated like a bit of cork on top of the water with a lily pad taking it's place on his head. Tetsuya stood behind him looking just as pathetic with a few fallen duck feathers clinging to his clothes and water weeds hanging off of his bananas. A small green frog sat on his shoulder quietly as it throat wobbled before giving a soft croak and hopping off into the water.

"Are you...okay sir?" Doai asked unsure though secretly it was taking all of his will power to avoid cracking a smile. "I became concerned when you didn't show up for the meeting so I came looking for you."

"My bad Doai." Tetsuya said rubbing the back of his head feeling as guilty as he looked. "Genma was helping me out with my dancing, I didn't mean to keep him so long."

"Dancing?!" Doai blinked and felt maybe it would be a better idea just not to ask.

"Doai please inform the rest of the Seifukai that I'm going to be running a little late and will be there as soon as possible." Genma said calmly, hands folded behind his back in his usual manner as if trying to locate what was left of his dignity.

"Um yes sir, right away." Doai nodded, his eyes lingering on his water logged leader for a few seconds before shifting to Tetsuya then he quickly turned and started walking away.

"S-s-sorry Genma," Tetsuya said as he followed the older teen out of the pond. "I d-d-didn't mean to make you late yo."

"Don't worry about it." Genma said with a kind smile, taking notice that his companion was holding himself and starting to shiver. The water had been quiet chilly, that combined with the cool breeze made things feel even colder than they were.

"G-g-guess I better head home now, my folks with be wondering where I am." Tetsuya said with a slight sniffle.

"I have a better idea for the moment, come with me." Genma said as a now shaking and curious Tetsuya followed close behind.

The pair arrived at the Aibo Academy dorms where a large portion of middle school students stayed, namely the room shared by Genma and Doai. Tetsuya sneezed a little and wiped his nose with his sleeve as Genma unlocked the door and they both went inside.

"Why don't you take a shower to get warmed up and I'll find something for you to wear until you get home." Genma offered, handing the boy a plastic bag to put his soggy clothes in. "There should be clean towels in there but if you need anymore just give me a shout."

"Thanks." Tetsuya sniffled before sneezing again and hurried into the bathroom.

While his friend was enjoying a cleansing shower, singing and rapping all the while, Genma went to his closet and looked through it for something for him to wear. Problem was compared to Tetsuya, the Seifukai was a giant. Not even Doai's clothes would be small enough, but he would simply have to improvise with what he had.

"Yo, Genma man. I'm done my shower now!" Tetsuya called from the bathroom, peeking through a half open door with a large bath towel wrapped around him like a shroud.

"Here you go, they are a little large but I think they will do." Genma grinned as he handed the boy one of his uniforms, in a few minutes he was dressed and came out of the foggy bathroom.

A "little large" was an understatement indeed, Genma's clothes practically devoured the boy's smaller frame but at least he was warm and dry. His pant legs were rolled up several times over his feet and his sleeves hung far past his hands like he was a young Mr. Neginoyama.

"How do I look?" Tetsuya smiled brightly up at him.

"You look great." Genma chuckled as Testuya grabbed his belonging and headed off out the door.

"I'd better get going Gemna thanks for everything, I owe you one yo!" The boy called over his shoulder as he ran off down the path that lead away from Aibo, long dark sleeves flapping in the wind like banners.

Genma just laughed and shook his head before turning and going back inside, not wanting to show up at the meeting smelling like a swamp he undressed and tossed his soiled uniform into the laundry basket outside the bathroom door. Turning on the faucet after grabbing the soap and a clean wash cloth Genma stepped into the shower and let the warm water wash the grime from his body, he found himself chuckling at the memory of that days events and after a good scrub down left the shower in a better mood than ever. The young rapper's positive aura was truly infectious as Genma got dressed and brushed his hair until it was to his liking before heading out the door himself.

Later on that evening Genma and Doai were arriving at the dorm chatting about business as usual when Doai spotted a package sitting on their door step wrapped in white plastic with a note left on top addressed to Genma attached to the stem of a banana.

"What could this be?" A puzzled Doai opened it up to find a cleaned Seifukai uniform inside as Genma read the note.

Genma
