"It's been a long time since I've seen you Zero…"
"Same here Yuuki."
She laughed. " You're as blunt as always I see."
He gritted his teeth. " I promised that the next time I saw you I would kill you."
Her eyes softened. " It's snowing," she whispered with and hint of nostalgia. " Just like the first time I met you."
However Zero was not in a nostalgic mood. He whipped out the BloodyRose and pointed it to her head pressing the muzzle into her beautiful, silky brown hair. " I hate you."
She laughed again. " I know… and I don't blame you for that." She whispered. " My poor Zero, if only you could have had a normal life even if it meant me dying. You were the only one I ever trusted and look, here we are, you pointing a gun at my head. Destiny is cruel isn't it?" Her eyes were so full of pain and raw grief he nearly dropped the gun.
He fixed his violet eyes on her. " You know, there were times when I wondered if I really needed to kill you." His gaze softened. " Your smile, your touch saved me so many times. If I had known this would happen I would've treated you better in those happy times we had. I love you"
" Happy times…" she echoed softly. She smiled and looked up at him " Her hand reached up to gently stroke his silver hair and then lovingly touch his cheek. She smiled, tears forming in her eyes, rolling down then reached for the gun, her finger entwined with the one that was at the trigger. " We will always be together, Zero, in this life in the next world, anywhere, even when death do us part." He tried to pull away from the gun but her hold was firm. " I love you, and I always will, I'm sorry." She pulled the trigger.
BAM!
A loud bang rang out through the forest and she crumpled to the ground. Shocked, Zero picked up his shaking legs and walked over to her body, falling to his knees. Her mahogany eyes opened up once more. She reached up her bloody hand and put it on his tear-wet cheek. " Zero... promise me… after I die will you kiss me on the forehead? Then I'll know… that someone in this world once loved me. Even if it was just for a moment.
"Yeah I will" he replied.
She smiled, tears rolling down her cheeks. "In this world… or the next," She whispered as she struggled to breathe. " Till death do us...part… we will always be to… gether…" She closed her eyes and her memories with Zero flashed through her mind, Every touch, every kiss, the time he had tried to kiss each other, their first fight. She smiled, " It was a good life... with you," She admitted and her fragile hand went limp and fell leaving a smear of blood on his cheek as her mahogany eyes lost the light and closed forever.
As silent sobs racked his body, he gathered her lifeless body and lowering his head, gave her the kiss she asked for. Then he picked her up her body and walked away with it, disappearing into a gust of snow.
