10 Things I Love About You

Disclaimer: I do not own either of the canon characters in this story. I merely am continuing their story together, since I saw the movie for the first time about a month and a half ago and fell in love with it.

"Ten Things I Love About You"

-By Patrick Verona

I love the way you smile, Kat.

I love the tender moments when you just call me Pat.

Never "stupid" or "creep" anymore

Now that you see what I have in store.

I love the way you wear your hair.

I love the way you glare.

I love the way you make me think.

I love that you hate the color pink.

I love your laugh, your light, your radiance.

I love the way we dance.

I love the way we sneak out late

Without telling your father we're on a date.

I love the way you lie

When you say you'd rather die

Than just admit that you missed me.

Because I know there's no place you'd rather be

Than by my side for all of eternity.

But, most of all, I love you, Kat.

And I am glad to say that

You picked the guy who made others cry

And continuously wondered why

You ever agreed to date me, the man with no chance to reach Heaven.

And, oops, I think that makes eleven.

So, I guess I'll stop this poem here

Where I can tenderly wrap my arms around you, my dear.

Author's Note: And there is the prologue to my first contribution to this fandom! This movie came out a year before I was born, but that doesn't stop me from loving it. My mom said it was one of her favorite movies of all time, so she introduced it to me and my sister over Christmas Break from school. I fell in love with it and found myself rooting for Patrick and Kat almost as soon as the scheme came about for Cameron to try and date Bianca. The movie was amazing, and I loved every bit of it! This is to be the prologue of a story where each of the eleven things Patrick loves about Kat will be explored. Updates may be scarce due to school, but they will definitely be longer than this chapter which served as a prologue. I hope everyone enjoyed; I'd love to hear what you guys and girls think about my poem!
