An Angel of the Elements
"Never give up. All you have to do is spread your wings and fly."

That's what my grandfather Swan used to say. And I live by it. When my parents divorced when I was about 9 months my grandparents took care of me. When I was five years old I went through something only Swan's do (I mean my family not the bird) I grew my wings. And by wings I mean like angels. My mother told my father that I was growing wings. My father and told her that it was rear for it to happen. My mom freaked and yelled at him and told him that I was supposed to be 100% human. That summer my mom took me to live with my grandparents (on my dad's side).

I've lived with them ever since. My grandfather taught me how to play basketball, baseball, soccer, football, and boxing. While he was teaching me how to act like a human he also taught me what was going on in my body. Apparently I grew my wings because I was strong enough physically and mentally. My grandmother taught me how to keep control of my anger. She taught me how to read people, know what to expect, be polite, and everything a mother was supposed to teach a child. They were always there for me. One of the most important things they taught me was how to take care of myself.

Over the years I was able to control my powers. Instead of one pair of wings I got four sets. The ones I got when I was five are bloody red and the smallest ones I have. When I was eight I got a white pair of wings they were a bit bigger then the red ones. When I was thirteen silver wings were next, they are pretty big. But the last ones I got when I was fifteen. They are the biggest and they are black. I love all of them but I always have to cut holes in my shirts so my wings don't start feeling weird. However I do have to wear a hoodie in public. One of my favorite parts about this is that each time I got a new pair of wings I also got a new gift and by that I mean that like when I got my red wings I able to move things with my mind. My white wings gave me the ability to talk to animals. My sliver wings allowed me to unlock the ability to turn invisible. My black wings gave me the gift of the elements. Its really cool to see when I make a fire ball in my hand, waves in the bathtub, the wind to blow dry my hair, grow a red rose for my grandmother, or use spirit to make someone happy.

I love sports. I sports that I'm known for are basketball and skateboarding. And by known for I mean I'm the world champion in skateboarding and I'm also the star of the basketball team of my school. My grandparents never miss a game or contest.

Well that was until they died a month ago. They died the way I knew they would. Together on their bed hugging each other in their sleep. I knew they were dead before I even walked in their room. I know that they are in heaven watching me and leading me the right way, the way my heart tells me to.

So now I'm moving in with my dad to finish high school. Let's just hope that no one finds out my secret. My name is Isabella Marie Swan and this is my story.
