A/N: A short story dedicated to Jazzy Starlight.
Disclaimer: I don't own Naruto.
And this is how it feels when I ignore the words you spoke to me,
And this is where I lose myself when I keep running away from you.
Their lips separated.
Her breaths came in short gasps. The back of her slender body was desperately struggling to cling to the wall behind her and find the kind of support her knees only seemed to lose when he was around her.
For a split second, blue eyes met green. She quickly closed her eyes, overwhelmed by the amount of emotions only he could make her feel by just one glance. She couldn't bring herself to look at him.
She didn't know how it happened, but somehow he had captured her heart. These feelings that have been permeating her entire being for a while now - she had no idea they existed. She would never have thought something like this, with him was possible. She was thrilled, mesmerized, and scared; terrified of the possibility that something would go wrong and ruin this – whatever it was.
She turned her head. She wasn't strong enough. She couldn't look at him.
Fingers stroked her cheek. His fingers. She held her breath. How can someone so cold be so warm? How is it that just a simple touch can make her heart stop? He slowly turned her head towards him. "Why won't you look at me?"
She didn't reply.
His lips brushed hers softly, barely touching. He didn't move from his spot. "Look at me…" he whispered hoarsely.
Her eyes opened. The intensity of his gaze, the beauty of his melancholy, and the allure of his lips…It was too much. She closed any distance that remained between them and let her feeling take control of her.
Her hands tangled in his fiery red hair, and his body pressed against hers intimately. Their kiss was fervent, passionate and aggressive. It was confused, sentimental and desperate. It was everything she couldn't say to him.
They broke apart. His breathing was shallow. His light green orbs were hazed.
He looked at her, and then his eyes were more lucid. Various emotions appear in those captivating eyes, the eyes that have reigned all of her conscious and subconscious thoughts lately.
She felt the spread of a smile as realization hit her. Everything she was feeling…he was probably feeling too.
Breathe your life into me,
I can feel you.
