Not my first Petshop fic but the first one I've posted. Hooray for me! A very weird little thing that I have no idea where it came from. A (hopefully) surprise ending
Blah blah, do not own, blah blah.
"Holy shit, Leon, what happened?"
"Huh?" Leon turned and faced the others, his shirt hanging loosely in his hands. "What? What is it?" They were watching him with fascination and horror. "What?!"
"Dude... your back..." Leon twisted his head around until he could see his back out of the corner of his eye.
"The hell?!" Enormous scratches covered his back, stopping just short of hi waist.
"You didn't notice those?"
"No! Holy crap, where did they come from?!"
"That is weird, Leon."
"Yeah man, looks like you got attacked by a tiger or something."
"Son of a bitch." Leon muttered.
Jill turned to her partner and paused, eyes lighting on the mark on his neck, just below the jawbone.
Leon seemed to have a lot of those lately. Nothing too obvious but definitely there if you knew to look. And it was never anything really bad: a few scratches here, a bruise or two there... Little stuff. And if anyone asked, Leon only shrugged it off, as if he hadn't noticed, and say it must have happened during a chase and only just showed up.
But this one... this one was different. It looked like... like a... a bite mark.
"You're staring at me." Jill started.
"Sorry. You, ah, you have..." she tapped her neck on the same spot as the bruise. Leon, bewildered, reached up and winced as he touched the spot. When they came to a red light, he flipped down the sun block and opened the little mirror. He scowled when he saw the bruise.
"Damnit." He flipped it closed again.
"Leon, how is it possible that you could hurt yourself so badly and never notice until someone points it out?"
"Hey, I'm not the only one who gets hurt- its part of the job."
"Yeah, but not like the way you get hurt. When I get hurt on the scene I get bruises all over- not just in a single spot." To her surprise, Leon went a faint red.
"Look, it's none of your business!"
"It's my business if you keep getting hurt like this! You're my partner!"
"Christ, what are you, my mother? I can take care of myself." Jill frowned but said nothing more. She wasn't in the mood for a huge argument and Leon clearly wasn't talking.
Leon never told anyone what really caused those bruises. Oh yes, he knew what it was. Knew very well. Kind of hard not to. You see, the bruises weren't intentionally inflicted- rather, they were the aftermath of something Leon did quite often.
Count D could be quite...wild.
Tadaaa! Hopefully you didn't see that coming. Its DxLeon, in case you didn't guess.
