Je N'ai Pas De Mots

By Any Unborn Child

(Disclaimer: Ouran is not mine, nor will it ever be.)

Come near and stand by me, baby.
Close enough to reach out and pull you still closer,
All that is swelling within me,
Must be a language I've never spoken Till there was you,
I fumbled try but I stumbled,
Over all my heart wants to say now.

It came gradually.

The love.

It wasn't all in one foul swoop, as he meant it to look like.

It was genuine, though.

It was deeply genuine.

He had thought that Haruhi needed a father figure.

Something to do with her non-conventional looks.

Or something of that nature.

Non-conventional – what a word.

But, in a way, it fit.

Je n'ai pas de mots,
Nothing seems to say the way you move me,
Rushing through me,
Je n'ai pas de mots,
But a promise has been made you can believe this,
From the first kiss,
It's good that I don't have to speak to know that it's real,
Je n'ai pas de mots.

Haruhi was indeed nonconventional.

She was different from most of the girls that Tamaki came in contact with.

She didn't fall for him right away.

She didn't swoon.

She was very practical, very responsible for a girl her age.

Not very whimsical.

Not very girly.

But that was all a part of her charm.

And that was how Tamaki fell for her.

Come near and talk to me baby,
How did you know you were,
The dream of this dreamer,
Oh god how I thank you for reading,
In my heart the note I didn't even know that I wrote,
Of what I long for,
You gave me much more,
Love is standing beside me.

He learned so much from her.

She taught him how to fully understand someone.

She taught him about the world outside fancy tuna and vast wealth.

There were more things than that – much more.

He knew that now.

Haruhi truly taught him and the rest of the Host Club a lot more about the world.

There is still much out there, a lot of things to see.

Je n'ai pas de mots,
Nothing seems to say the way you move me,
Rushing through me,
Je n'ai pas de mots,
But a promise has been made you can believe this,
From the first kiss,
Je n'ai pas de mots,
Oh! Nothing seems to say the way you move me,
Rushing through me,
Je n'ai pas de mots,
But a promise has been made you can believe this,
From the first kiss,
It's good that I don't have to speak to know that it's real,
Je n'ai pas de mots,
Je n'ai pas de mots,
Je n'ai pas de mots.

In their time together, Tamaki learned a lot and experienced a lot with Haruhi.

A lot of things that he liked to play over and over again in his mind.

There were things though, that he never wanted to go through again with her.

Hopefully, they wouldn't have to worry about that.

Deep down, he knew that he still had a lot to learn from her.

There was more that Haruhi had to teach him.

Perhaps, maybe, he could teach her some things as well.

Perhaps.

Oh well –

They had all the time in the world for that.

(A/N: Lyrics from Vic Mignogna's song "Je N'ai Pas De Mots". I really love this song – after I thought about it, I realized that it was perfect in describing Tamaki's feelings for Haruhi. I love that couple. Please check out the song if you can.)
