A/N: Hi there! I present to you a new fic, again. I know what you're thinking, "Quit making new fics and update the ones you already are writing!" However, this one is completely different from anything I've ever written. And unlike the last serious fic I wrote, this one is not coming from my shameless yaoi-fangirl self. It's coming from my overtired, contemplative self. (I got this idea like 20 minutes ago, and it's not even 9 AM yet.)
Either way, I hope you enjoy it! Oh yes, and I promise the other chapters will be much better, but I had to get this out of the way as a prelude sort of thing.
Disclaimer: If I owned Naruto, why would I be writing fanfictions? Oh yeah, and I also did jack shit research on anything and am going solely on what I already know, because some I am altering many, many things for the sake of the story.
Sasuke
The boy always in the shadows
July 23. The second Uchiha son is born. It is not as celebrated as Itachi's birth; as he is simply a child and not an heir, but many clansmen still give their congratulations to Mikoto and Fugaku Uchiha. The boy is named "Sasuke", a warrior's name; after the legendary, mythical Sarutobi Sasuke. The clan wonders about this; how the first-born heir would get a short, demeaning name like "Weasel", and the second-born, nothing more than a son, another member would be named after such a character. It was an oddity indeed.
You'd think that when they'd give the boy such a name in comparison to his older brother, the way they'd treat him would be just the same in relation. It, however, was the exact opposite. Life really is ironical. The clansmen do not ponder this, however, as they are too busy gawking after Itachi.
In fact, the clan really did give no more than a rat's ass about the boy with the warrior's name; as long as he did not get in the way of their weasel, it'd be just fine.
Yet growing up, the boy was still required to be perfect in every way; one would sarcastically put it as "a brilliant parenting job". It was pathetic how the boy had to achieve complete and total perfection at all times though no one was ever watching.
Though there were few Uchiha that ever noticed him and played something of a major role in his life, he'd think about them constantly.
And life, striking one of it's ironies, made this boy the sole avenger of the clan that really did jack shit with him.
A/N: I SWEAR TO GOD THE NEXT CHAPTERS WILL BE BETTER! And longer. Either way, I hope you enjoyed this very short prelude! Please review!
That's all for now!
