Wow, I thought to myself, as I walked in. I had never been in any place like this. As soon as I stepped in the door it smelled amazing, and it was beautiful. When we first got here I could tell that this building had some wear and if you looked really closely inside, you could see the wear too, but I didn't care, this place was amazing.
Carmen stepped in the door after me and led me inside to a room on the left side of the building. As I walked int he room, I was greeted by a huge bay window, a desk, and shelves of books. Carmen led me to sit in the chair in front of the desk. "Hello, Carmen", the lady at the desk said, "it's always a pleasure". As she was talking, I saw her watching me out of the corner of her eye. I tried not to pay attention to them talk, so I started looking around the room. "Would you like to look around my study", the lady at the desk asked. "Sure", I replied. I noticed that she never told me her name. I got out of my seat and began wondering around the room. As I was looking at the books, I noticed they seemed more like textbooks I would use in school, not books to read for fun. I kept looking, trying to find a book I would like.
The walls were completely covered in books, but the best part of the room was the window. I was so engrossed at looking out the window, that I almost tripped over something on the floor. When I looked down, away from the outside world, I noticed feet under the curtains. Bare feet, and they seemed very small. I wonder who that is. I began to move the curtain aside, to see who was behind it, when I heard Carmen call my name. I turned around and she beaconed me over.
"Alright, let me show you around, love", Carmen said. I followed her out of the room, only giving the window one last glance. "Now this is the main lobby. To the right is the kitchen and dinning room, and up those stairs are the bedrooms. Your room will have your name on the door. I really hope you are going to be happy here", she said giving me the most motherly look I had ever received. "Do you want me to walk you up, or do you want to go up by yourself?", she asked. "I've got it. Thank you Carmen." Carmen handed me my bag and I turned towards the stairs. As I began to walk up the stairs to my room Carmen called out to me , "Remember Love, make friends and stay on your best behavior. Call me if you have any problems, I love you." I love you too, Carmen, I thought in my head. I walk up the rest of the stair and began searching for my name on the doors. I found my name and opened up to the door.
A/N I hope you liked.
