Arizona had just finished her last rounds of the day and was now on her way to the locker room. It had felt like a really long day and she was looking forward to getting home and spending a relaxing evening with her girlfriend.
As she entered the locker room she noticed Callie had finished her shift and was already there getting changed at the far side of the room. She smiled as Callie turned around to greet her, but as Callie's face came into view it was clear that she was not happy.
"Oh there you are" Callie said coldly. The smile dropped from Arizona's face. "You've got some explaining to do" Callie added.
"Huh?" Arizona replied, totally caught off guard.
"What, you thought I wouldn't find the note?" Callie said, waving one hand in front of her.
"Note?" Arizona was obviously missing something.
"Don't act like you don't know what I'm talking about Arizona." She accused.
"But I - I don't" She stuttered and Callie raised an eyebrow at her doubtfully. "I actually don't" She insisted.
"This" Callie held the note out to her.
Arizona looked down and took the piece of paper from Callie's hand. Scrawled across it in varied colours of crayon were the words 'to docter arizona. just wanted to say thanks alot for fixing me. you are relly cool for a docter and also you are very pretty aswell!' there was a smiley face and then 'lots of love, from thomas'. A lop-sided heart doodle was drawn around the whole thing. It had been given to her by a young patient when she had discharged him earlier that day and she had propped it up in her cubby before going for lunch.
A relieved grin spread across Arizona's face and she looked up at Callie to see an amused sparkle in her eyes. "You think that was funny?" Arizona laughed, despite herself.
"It was funny – you should have seen your face!" Callie replied between laughs.
"Don't do that to me again" Arizona stepped towards her to playfully whack her shoulder but as she did so, Callie wrapped her arms around Arizona's waist and pulled her closer.
"So, I don't need to be worried then?" Callie pretended to sound nervous.
Arizona smiled lovingly at her before leaning in to give her a passionate kiss. She pulled away slightly and replied "No. You have nothing to worry about."
