Becca sat on Katie's bed, waiting for her to return from the kitchen. She could hear a soft buzzing noise as she lie on the bed with her feet dangling on the floor. The TV snapped on. Becca sat up suddenly. She looked next to her and saw the remote. Figuring that she had sat on it by accident she flicked the TV off and went to the door to get Katie.
The TV came back on. Becca's eyes grew wide as she realized it hadn't been her this time. Turning around she saw that the static had lifted and there was now an image of a stone well in the country. Frozen with fear she watched as a small girl with long wet hair climbed out and headed towards the screen. Shaking, Becca watched as the little girl stuck a hand out of the screen, collapsing to the floor and soaking it with water. The water spread over the hardwood floor and tickled Becca's bare feet.
With a slight stench of rot and decay the sopping girl pushed herself up and staggered towards Becca. She stopped about two feet away.
"You didn't watch the tape," she growled, her eyes looking down at the floor.
"No," Becca squeaked. "What are you?"
"You will see. Soon everyone will see," the girl cackled from beneath her veil of hair. "Everyone will suffer."
"What are you going to do to me?" Becca asked, tears welling in her eyes. She looked towards the door hopefully.
"You aren't going to die. Not yet," Samara began, her voice cracking slightly. "But everywhere you go. I will be there. Whenever you look at a TV you will remember. You will know what I have gone through."
Becca nodded her eyes welling with tears. She sat back down on the bed and watched as Samara lifted her face just as the door opened. Sobbing she watched as Katie's face contorted with fear. Then she fell and Becca knew she was dead.
Quietly Samara went over to the doorway and lifted Katie's hands. She began to drag her to the closet where she sat her down with her knees drawn up and arms crossed. Katie's face was rotted as though she had been floating around a lake for a few days.
Samara pointed her head towards Becca once more but didn't show her face.
"Now you will see what I have gone through. Now you will know," Samara cackled as she placed a hand over Becca's eyes, projecting the obscure images into her brain.
"Have fun."
I hope that wasn't too cliché or cheesy or anything. It was my first attempt at a Ring fic and I hope you liked!
