I went into the woods today to see what I could find
I saw an owl and he told me
That he was wise
Young Arthur went into the woods to use his bow 'n' arrow for the sixth time. He glanced at the owl. Most said that owls were very wise. The boy pulled the arrow back into the string, staring at his target. Then he let go of the arrow, watching it hit it's target. Arthur shuffled over and picked up the bird, putting the arrow back.
I went into the woods today to see what I could find
I saw a fox and he told me
To run away and hide
Arthur went into the woods again the next day. Glancing around he saw a fox in the corner of his eye. By the looks of it, the fox was hungry, very hungry. The fox looked threatening so Arthur ran off.
He said take your chances
Run and hide
He said take your chances
Run and hide
Arthur ran and hid in a tree.
I went into the woods today to see what I could see
I saw a deer and she told me
That she was free
Arthur saw a deer, it looked as free as it could be. He climbed down off the tree and slowly walked over to the deer, not to frighten it.
She said stay a while
Don't be afraid
She said stay a while
Don't be afraid
The deer welcomed him as he stroked the animal.
I went into the woods today to see what I could find
Arthur continued to go into the woods, admiring the animals around him.
