INTRO:

Konohagakure Agency. It's the most advanced and skillfully hidden underground headquarters in the Land of Fire. Moreover, it's one of the most important branches of secret agencies all over the world. Its agents have to undergo rigorous life-or-death training before they can be considered as part of the force. However, once a trainee is in, it's time to say goodbye to the normal life. Because a Konoha Agent's life is, and will never be normal.

And that's the life that Uchiha Sasuke lives.

For Sasuke, at 25 years of age, the most traumatizing experience he had in his whole life was when he saw his parents die before his eyes. He and his brother found themselves wanting of care and shelter in an orphanage that's not well-taken care of, spending their days doing chores in the morning, and getting beat up in the evening, if their obedience is not at par with the caretakers. They lived in hell. Redemption came when a man named Orochimaru introduced himself, promised an exciting life of a double agent, and adopted them. This was how he got into Konohagakure Agency, or simply, Konoha.

When he was put into the training pool, he and his brother worked harder than anyone else. It wasn't easy; he took time to let himself adjust. He eventually was able to overcome the different fears he had accumulated, and came out as one of the top ranking agents of the agency.

And this is where his adventure starts.

Chapter One: Freeze

"Oi, Sasuke-teme! Wait for me!" Uzumaki Naruto yelled to his partner. Uzumaki Naruto, blonde-haired, blue-eyed boy with a loud mouth that can barely save his life. However, behind the seemingly unreliable façade, he's one of the valued agents of Konoha. Being the son of the former Chief Executive of Konohagakure Agency, Minato Namikaze, he was automatically enlisted as part of the training pool in the same batch as Uchiha Sasuke. It was a long, and different, story, but their rivalry ended up making the two of them partners as they have graduated from their training, top of their class.

Naruto ran faster to catch up to Sasuke, who had no intention to slow down. Sasuke merely put his hands inside his pocket and ignored the former's continuous chatter, walking down the path that takes them to the Chief's office. "It's so early in the morning. Don't be mean like that, dattebayo." Naruto whined, earning him a "Hn" from Sasuke, his typical response. Naruto just made a face, stuck out his tongue at Sasuke and continued walking.

He raised his arms and put them behind his head to support it. "We're going on a mission, right? For us to be called even before the sun is up means that this must be important. I was so hooked up watching a new episode of this new series…" he went on sharing more about this, oblivious to the fact that he was being ignored for the most part.

They make their way down the hall, where they stopped in front of a metal door, waiting. "Godaime Hokage's Office. Stand still for authentication." A cool and calm voice of a woman surrounded their environment. Naruto stopped talking and the two of them stood still as a red horizontal light appeared, scanning their faces, going down and back up, lingering on their irises. "Agents Uchiha Sasuke and Uzumaki Naruto. Access granted." The door opened in the middle, allowing the boys to make their entry.

"Any idea what Granny Tsunade's going to make us do?" Naruto whispered from the corner of his lips suddenly getting serious as they approached the Chief's table.

"No idea," Sasuke whispered back, allowing his eyes to roam the room. He had only been in this office a few times, and it never fails to amaze him. The room is modest in size, but the technology gracing every inch of the room is state of the art. The screen alone, located behind Tsunade, the 5th Chief of Konohagakure Agency, can be likened to a mini-version of a movie screen, which is turned off at the moment. Sasuke let his eyes land on Tsunade, who seem to be ignoring their presence as she finishes off whatever it is she's writing. Naruto and Sasuke stopped right in front of her and waited—

"Granny Tsunade, we're here! This better be worth the sleep I'm missing out—" Naruto said, sounding bored, and yawning to make his point.

Tsunade stopped writing, "Shut up," she said. Naruto stopped and grinned at her. Sasuke makes a mental note to slap his partner for being such a disrespectful prick once again. "I won't keep you long, I'll just discuss your mission for tonight." She looked at Naruto and Sasuke, reaching for the remote. Tsunade swung her chair around to the screen and clicked it. It lit up, showing an image of a woman with black-blue locks reaching up to her waist, and lavender eyes. A Hyuga. "This is your first target – Hyuga Hinata, heir of the Hyuga clan, and of the Byakugan Corporation." Sasuke looks up at her, and hears Naruto mutter several "wow," but ignores him. "This is your second target – Hyuga Neji, member of the Hyuga Branch House." The second one looks almost identical to the first.

Sasuke crossed his arms, his mind forming a lot of questions, with the first one immediately tumbling out of his mouth the moment it came. "Why are we getting them? Recruitment?"

"I'm glad you can catch on fast, Uchiha." Tsunade faced them once more. "These two would be great additions to our pool. No need for formalities. Use force if you have to. I'll be expecting them by the end of the night in the quarters of this building." Sasuke nodded and waited for further instructions.

"Granny Tsunade, can I call dibs on the cute girl? Sasuke said he gets dibs on Neji—" Naruto barely finishes his sentence when Sasuke side punched him on his stomach. "Neh, stop being stingy, Sasuke. I was merely joking." He laughed it off, and Tsunade suppressed to show her amusement, scarcely being able to do so.

"Behave, Uzumaki. Listen carefully, I will discuss the mission now," Tsunade stood up, suddenly changing into business mode and the two young agents' ears perked up to ensure every detail of the mission is covered. "We've received intel regarding a move of the Otogakure to recruit them. We can't let that happen. Otogakure would be in a great advantage if they would be able to. As you all know, Otogakure is notorious. They have no morals, no conscience, nothing. They have sold their souls to the Ten Tails."

Silence ensued, that when Sasuke sighed to take all of the information in, he could swear that the sound that escaped him echoed throughout the room. "So the mission is, that we stop the Otogakure from getting her?" Sasuke said.

"That's a part of it. This is part of the umbrella mission of getting rid of the Otogakure. The government itself wanted to make sure of that, and is paying us a large sum of money in order to eliminate them. It would also do us good if we get them out of the way. But for the two of you," she looks down and presses a few keys in the keyboard in front of her, "There's no need to concern yourselves for the bigger scheme of things. Just do your job, and do your job well." Tsunade said, earning Sasuke's nod. "Alright. You'll be going to the banquet hosted by the Hyuuga. It's not just any party…It's a VIP party. Make sure to wear your best suits. It'll be on the 14th of February, three days from now. Get your gadgets from the tech room, and some cash money from the finance, anything else you neeed to do, and get your asses out of here."

"Yes! We get money!" Naruto yelled, while Sasuke smirked.

Tsunade smiled a little before remarking, "Resources and influence. That is all I'm answering for now. I have trust in the two of you. You're top of your batch. It's time to prove that we have not wasted money on you, and you show that in this legitimate mission."

A chance to get out there and prove ourselves, Sasuke thought. "Let's go, Naruto!" He nodded to his partner, who gave him an okay sign in return. And with that, the two of them left.

The premiere Fire Hotel is the venue for the biggest A-List banquet of the year. It's been the talk of the town for the past months, and all guests invited are either government-affiliated or the most elite in the business industry. It's a gathering of the most powerful people in the world, and the Hyuga family is hosting it.

Sasuke entered the premises first and quickly flashed a special government ID to the registrar, who hid her astonishment immediately as it came. When she acknowledged him, he nodded in response and let his eyes wander around the glamorous event where he is to accomplish his mission. 1st rule: Never stand out. Sasuke reminded himself and slid his way to the corner of the grand hall, to the area where the drinks are. His movements are natural and graceful, and he blends in with the crowd of people wearing suits and ties. He sported a crisp black suit with checked blue tie to keep it simple. Unfortunately for him, he almost always breaks unintentionally this first rule; he effortlessly makes several women's heads turn, and eyes ogle, at him. In these cases, he nonetheless ignores them.

"I'm going in, over." Naruto, through a mini mic in Sasuke's ear, said. Sasuke tapped his earpiece without looking suspicious, and the sound of which is the signal that he acknowledged it. He helped himself to a glass of red wine by getting one from a waiter that passed by and let his eyes wander around the room, looking as if he's checking out the décor and design of the carpeted floor or the elegant gold-colored walls, but at the same time, looking for the target face shown to them. As he took a sip of the glass of wine, he caught the eye of one middle-age woman who's looking at him seductively and winked at him. He took a sip again and looked the other way, avoiding eye contact. From the corner of his eye, he saw the same woman advancing towards him, and so, he walked away from where he currently is as natural as possible, and tried to blend in once more with the crowd in the middle of the hall, losing the woman in the process. He sighed in relief, allowed himself to relax and look around again, but was stopped immediately when a pink-haired woman bumped hard unto his arm, splashing the remainder of the red wine down his shirt and suit.

"Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry!" The woman swung around to Sasuke and saw the damage that she caused. Sasuke looked down and saw that his undershirt and suit is heavily stained with red wine that the woman accidentally poured unto him. A panicked hand reached out with a handkerchief and tried to wipe it up. "I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to, oh my god, I'm really, really sorry" she kept saying. Sasuke angrily brushed off her hand to stopped her and muttered 'it's fine', choosing to walk away, still looking down at the stain, wiping it with a napkin he picked up from a nearby table. Fuck, the Disguise department will kill me, he thought, his wiping movements not doing anything to remove the stain. From the corner of his eye, he saw Naruto just looking at him. Sasuke can tell that he's going to be made fun of again after this mission.

"Bro, are you on your period? That's a pretty big red spot on your shirt." Naruto said onto his mic, a low chuckle escaping his lips. Sasuke glanced to his direction and gave Naruto the most intense glare he can muster.

Tch. I knew I should've brought an extra. Damn it. Sasuke thought, while trying to think of a way to clean the mess in front of his shirt. A tug on his left arm made him look to his back; it was the same woman from earlier. Her straight pink hair flowing, reaching up to her small-sized waist, Sasuke found himself melting under the alluring emerald orbs staring up to his. "I'm really sorry. I would like to make it up, please." She said, offering an apologetic smile. "I'm Sakura. Haruno Sakura. Please, please, please do accept my offer. I can get you a new suit immediately." The woman named Sakura reached out her hand, took Sasuke's, and shook it. God damn it. It's a good thing you're pretty. I could've punched you right now.

2nd rule: Never give out your real name. "There's no need for that. I'm Sai." The girl named Sakura smiled. "Sai. That's a nice name. Anyway, please, you're doing me a favor to have my conscience be clear for ruining your evening," she said, her eyes never leaving Sasuke's, "and your dapper suit," she continued, motioning to his wine-stained ensemble. He glanced down, and sighed, realizing that the stain is very visible.

"No, it's okay. You really don't have to do it." Sasuke replied despite the embarrassing mishap evident on his shirt, but Sakura wasn't even listening. Sakura took his hand and pulled him towards the stairs going up, and while Sasuke protested, there was not much he can do. The more he thrashed around, the more likely he will get attention. And he can't risk blowing his cover. Plus, this Sakura girl is persistent. At the corner of his eye, he caught a glimpse of Naruto near the food table, and conversing with a man with long, brown hair, and…lavender eyes? A Hyuuga? That dobe. At least he's doing his job. "Alright, just get on with it."

"I promise you, we'll be quick." Sakura smiled and led him to the second floor. They walked down the hall, the carpet muffling the sound his shoes and Sakura's heels make. Sakura lets go of Sasuke's hand and they continued moving forward. An awkward vibe surrounded them, but Sasuke didn't care. His senses are wide-awake for any mishap that he'll encounter again. His ears perked up when Sakura tried to strike up a conversation.

"Hey, Sai, how do you know the Hyugas?" she randomly asked, not looking back. She was leading the way, their distance from each other not too far.

Sasuke recalled the cheat sheet they memorized whenever answering is inevitable. "Yes, my father once had a business dealing with them." He replied, and hoped she wouldn't ask another question, a wish that didn't wasn't answered. "Oh, I see. What business are you in?" She probed further.

"A big business."

"I see…" Sakura said. "So, you're kinda big, huh?" she continued, looking over her shoulder with a smoldering stare upon Sasuke.

Sasuke almost stopped at his tracks. "What?"

Sasuke received a wink as an answer, and looked away. "Was that supposed to be seductive?" He said, smirking when she cast a quick glance to look again at Sasuke.

"I don't know. Would you like it to be?" She said, giving him a meaningful stare once more.

She's pretty hot, Sasuke thought, while allowing his eyes to check her out. He's a man after all, he tells himself, as he surveyed her body. She's wearing a red tube gown that embraces her voluptuous curves, with a dangerously long slit that reaches just below three inches of her hips, revealing her long and flawless leg as she walks. Her heels, Sasuke saw, were around 4-5 inches long, her top of the head on the same level as Sasuke's eyes. But she's sure, confident, calm.

He stopped looking when he heard her say something. "You can't take your eyes off of me, can't you?" she said accusingly, fully facing Sasuke. The latter can tell that she's merely joking.

"Don't flatter yourself too much." He immediately said, almost embarrassed being caught checking Sakura out.

"You sound defensive," she said, with a sexy smirk at the corner of her lips.

"You know, you're not too bad yourself, accidentally pouring down my wine to isolate me from the crowd," he stepped forward, his body barely a few inches away from Sakura's. He leans in a little bit more to the point where there's almost no distance to speak of.

"Oh, please don't think like that. I have no bad intentions," Sakura said, looked back and winked at him, before continuing to walk on.

"Hn."

They stopped at a shop, and looking in; Sasuke thought, it does look like a suit shop.

"See? I wasn't bringing you anywhere shady, Sai-sama." She winked, and led him inside. We'll get you a new pair in no time." Sakura said. She waved at the middle-aged woman stationed at the front of desk, who smiled warmly in return, stood up, and disappeared to the other side of the divider. Sakura led Sasuke to the plush couch situated directly across the counter.

Sasuke was caught off-guard when Sakura seductively and aggressively pushed him down the couch, which he fell in to, and got more surprised when she suddenly straddled him, her arms going to his shoulders, her face threateningly close to his. "Unless, of course, you wanted to be shady…" She said to him, staring down at his onyx eyes.

He smirked at the aggressive woman on top of him, and said, "At least, I have self-control. You can't even keep your hands to yourself." Sakura smiled and lowered her face further down, her lips hovering just a few centimeters from his.

"I guess you're just too irresistible."

Sasuke smirked up to her and stared intensely back to her eyes, "I know I am irresistible."

"What do you think of me then?" she said, barely breathing the words into Sasuke's ear. He almost shivered at the sensation.

Sasuke thought he felt something rough brush his pants, but ignored it. Instead, he let his right arm snake Sakura's waist, and his left pulled her head to close the gap between the two of them. His lips found hers and aggressively kissed her hard. She caught him by surprised when her tongue traced his lips, and he granted her entrance to his mouth. He battled her aggressiveness and let his hands wander her body, while she felt her hands cling to his shoulders, her nails digging into his skin. Oh wow, she's good. She's really good. His left hand grabbed her hair and pulled it back, and he helped himself to the luscious, supple skin of her neck. He nibbled the skin just above her collarbone, and he got extremely turned on with the sound she released from her mouth.

"I knew it was a good idea to accidentally pour down the wine on you. Sai-kun..." she sexily purred, as her hands found its way down and started unbuttoning his shirt. "Let's get rid of this. You'll be changing this later." she winked down at him and kissed him again, nibbling on his lower lip before her tongue found his again. Oh Kami, I have a mission. Why now? He groaned when he felt her hips buck forward and hit his sensitive spot between his legs. He let his hands wonder and massage the legs he was checking out earlier, but Sakura's hand stopped his left hand, brings it up, and made it hold her head. He complied, while he let his unrestrained hand free to go wherever. Unable to control himself, he spanked her thigh, revealed by her gown's slit, making her gasp. "You're a naughty boy, aren't you, Sai-kun?" She said to his ear, as she took hold of his arms and put it on the side. He complied. And suddenly felt a surge of panic.

Too late.

WHAT THE FUCK-

He let his guard down. The couch apparently had some device that straps the person unto it. The moment Sakura pushed his arm down, it all went to fast. His arms, waist, and legs were strapped by the mechanisms of the couch. Sakura stood up and stepped back, opened the slit of her dress to reveal a strapped pistol secured on her right leg. She pulled it, positioned it with her hands and pointed it at Sasuke. Almost immediately, the woman from the counter earlier, as well as three other people, appeared behind her, with all their guns pointed at Sasuke.

Fuck. I got busted. Sasuke said, eyeing Sakura and shooting daggers at her. He desperately tried to break free from the straps, but they seem durable. He counted them from his arms to his legs, 25 all in all. What the fuck is this thing. He looked up once again at Sakura, who, he noticed, seem to be expertly holding the gun. Her stance is balanced, the grip is firm, and the distance from her chest to the gun is perfect. I got tied up. She's good.

Who are you... Haruno Sakura.

"Don't move. Who are you, and what are you looking for here?"

A/N:

I started this fanfic quite a while ago (July 2013, in fact), but I never got the time to continue it because of school activities and time constraint. I read the story again, and I felt that I needed to strengthen the writing some more, so I ended up editing this and the next chapter. This is in order to make more impact, and of course, better reading experience, hopefully.

Let me know what you think (about the writing, about the story, etc. anything!), it'll be great to know what you guys are thinking.

Thank you! See you in the next chapter!
