Chp.1- The Trouble Starts!

Ava sat down and stretched her legs out. George, the handsome dance company director, had asked her to show the new student around the large studio and introduce him to people. The new guy's name was Shadow, and George had taken him on a chance, but when she asked why, he said," I don't need to tell you because once you see him dance, you'll understand. Sure, he got in trouble at his last company, but he's a great dancer, and he'll make you a great partner." She wasn't so sure about that. It had taken weeks to make friends with anyone at the studio and she saw them every day. She really didn't react well to other people. She looked at the clock and realized that if she didn't hurry up, she would leave him stranded at the airport. She didn't have much time, so she slipped on some jeans and hopped in her car. Normally, racing to the airport was something she enjoyed, but she didn't want to unintentionally diss a guy she had never met. She got there just in time to see a hedgehog with black and red quills step into the terminal with a puzzled look on his face. He spotted a white hedgehog in a black leotard and jeans. Her bright green eyes searched for someone. She had obviously just come from the studio. Her quills were pulled back from her face and her bag had 'Twinkle Park Ballet Company' stenciled on the side. He recognized the name on the bag and walked towards her. Ava saw the hedgehog walking toward her and she realized that he must be the fabled Shadow Hedgehog. He was handsome and he had a strong build. He looked at her with his jet-black eyes and smiled at her. She looked at him and said," Hi, I'm Ava Rosemary. How are you? I heard you came from California. What was it like working with hu,mans? Do you have your luggage?" He was astounded to hear her ask so many questions all at once. He nodded. "Good, the lines to pick up baggage here are ridiculously long and I still have to show you the studios. It really doesn't look like a studio from the street, but inside it's really beautiful." They walked out to her car. "Maybe it would be better for me to rent a car. I don't think that all my luggage will fit in there," Shadow said questioningly. "I just don't think that your car could handle it." "Don't worry about it," she said, tossing her keys up in the air," I have an SUV. It can definitely handle it." He looked at her and wondered if she'd go out with him. She pulled the scrunchie out of her long quills and shook it all out. She saw him looking at her and she immediately flushed. He managed to stammer out," Uh- I didn't know your quills were so long." He knew a lot of beautiful girls in his life, but none had held his attention longer than this three years. There was only one thing that bothered him: the way she said 'George'.
