Chimps, Apes, Gorillas, and more

There are monkeys jumping all over the world

They live off of fruits and nuts, berries and other foods

They escape harms way, swinging and climbing trees

Of all the creatures on this planet

You have been selected and now I ask for the truth

Are you really our primal form,

Or is there a missing link?

Have we mislabeled you and targeted you for our similarities,

When in reality there isn't anything there.

Walking through a zoo, you look the same every day,

Have you stopped evolving,

Or was it simply never there.

Monkeys swinging,

All through the forest,

Jumping through trees,

Branches,

Swinging endlessly,

Happily throughout nature

Monkeys have there king,

All hail to King Louie,

But even he has to smile,

Delivered from harm to grace,

Not by wits alone

But by the Provider from above.

The creator of the Lamb,

Surely had you planned

Monkeys, monkeys, monkeys…

With a heart full of fear,

Are humans that frightening,

Or is it your instinct to live so dear?

Clean, social are your gifts,

In groups you travel and look for your young

Loving as parents,

Strong is your will,

Thrive in the jungle trees,

Away from human society.
