A/N: First of all, sorry I posted this late, but Happy Valentines Day! XD TBH, this isn't my best story (I edited it myself; not the best idea lol), but I hope you enjoy it! XD P.S. sadly, I don't own Naruto or Sasuke :/ but, at least I have FanFiction XD
I sat there; staring at the ground and trying to work up the courage. In my hand, I had a valentine for my special person. I've never really liked Valentines Day. It's a day to show affection and love, and the fact that I rarely show any emotion besides anger makes this my least favorite holiday. This day was different though, I was going to tell my special person how I feel.
I looked up as someone approached me and glared. I found two very excited faces staring back at me.
"Ohayoo, Sasuke-kun!" said Sakura in a sing-song voice.
"Happy Valentines Day!" Ino smiled.
I glared at them harder as they sat on either side of me. Even though they both annoyed me, I somehow became friends with the two girls. long story short, they got over their crushes on me (or so they say) and are helping me with my love life. I never figured out why they were helping me get with someone else though.
"So, you're finally going to do it, huh?" Sakura teased; taking the valentine from my hand and looking at it.
"Yeah," I said. I yanked it back from her hand and she pouted.
"He's on the tree swing outside," Ino said and flipped her hair over her shoulder. They both smiled and pushed me forward. I glared at them one more and walked towards the tree swing; the butterflies in my stomach coming alive. I was finally going to do this. I was going to tell my best friend how I feel toward him.
He was exactly where Ino said he was. Naruto sat on the swing, staring off into space. It took him a minute to realize I was standing there. He stood up abruptly and grinned.
"Hey, Sasuke! Happy Valentines Day! I know you don't like this holiday, but I thought I'd say it." He grinned wider (if that was even possible) and shifted from foot to foot. He looked anxious.
"Um..." I didn't know how to say what I was planing to, but the dobe started rambling. He was defiantly anxious about something.
"It's really nice outside today! The weather is pretty warm for February..." I decided to stop him from rambling further and shoved the valentine toward him. I blushed and averted my eyes.
"Happy Valentines Day, dobe." I mumbled.
He blinked and took what was in my hand. It was a freshly picked yellow rose with a silky, orange ribbon tied in a bow on the stem. It was girly, I know, but it felt like the right thing to get.
He looked up at me and smirked. "It seem like we both had the same idea."
I gave him a confused look. He picked up something off the swing and handed it to me. I stared at it. He had given me a black rose with a royal blue ribbon tied on the stem in a bow. I looked back at him and smirked.
"I never pictured you at the type to give someone a flower, dobe."
He blushed, "Shut up, teme."
I smirked, but I quickly turned my expression serious. "S-so, dobe... I-I wanted to say tha-"
"I love you too, Sasuke."
My eyes widened. He put a hand on the back of my head and leaned forward to press his lips to mine. I kissed him back fiercely, feeling a rush of excitement.
I could learn to like Valentines Day. Just a little.
