Saint Petersburg, 1905:
"The situation is getting worser and worser! We have to do something!"
One of Russia's politicians bashed his hand on the desk.
"Russia! Just say something too!"
Suddenly everybody looked up to Ivan Braginski, the personification of Russia.
"Eh? Me?" Astonished he blinked a few times and continued then: „Well... if people are dissatisfied we should give them what makes them happy again, да?" He smiled innocent which made the others laugh.
"Russia, you know as good as I do that we won't do that. If we fullfill one person's wish the next person comes and eventually the whole nation will act up with us!"
One of Russia's superiors brandished his arms. Russia wrinkles his brows and said thoughtful: "But I thought we should make the nation happy..."
His superior laughed again. "No! We have to make clear that we control the nation! Even by force at a push!" He continued after a short break. "I think I have to demonstrate it..."
With a wink of his hand he instruct Russia to follow.
"Let's end the meeting for today."
Then he and Russia left the room.
They went on the balcony and saw a raging crowd of people standing in front of the meeting hall. They heard claims like 'We want better working times!' or 'Down with autocracy!'
Russia was startled, he never saw his people so furious. He looked to his superior.
"Should we do something to calm them down?"
His superior laughed threatening. In his eyes glowed something and made a cold shiver run down Russia's back.
"Yeah... You're right. Now see and learn."
Then he looked in a distance and raised his hand, a diabolic smile on his face.
A blink later you heard gunfire everywhere and then the screams of the people. Some of them layed down immobile, some of them screamed like crazy and tried to escape. Children, adults... No one was spared. Paralyzed Russia looked at the scenario. Screams... suffering... blood... the crazy laugh of his superior...
And slowly a smile creeped in Russia's face. A smile that became bigger and bigger and ended in an insane laughing.
And from this day on things should never be the same again...
